MAURICE JARRARD STEWART

Maurice Jarrard “Moe” Stewart, 41, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of Houma, La., passed away at 3:35 p.m. in Paradis, La. on Saturday, April 28, 2018.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time at the church. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 11, 2018 at New Vision Family Worship Center, 6036 Main Street in Houma. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
He is survived by his children, Malachi, Chase, Chi and Susan Stewart, Shaylynn Crochet, Levia Nixon all of Houma and Amiya Dean of Franklin; one grandchild; mother, Dephine Stewart Short of Houma, sisters, Mrs. John (Alicia F.) Hite of Franklin, Mrs. Byron (Gracie V.) Short and Aronda Smith-Benson of Morgan CIty; devoted companion, Schwann Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents, maternal grandparents, four aunts and six uncles.
