Police Reports 4-12-18

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Scott Anslum reported the following arrests:
Herman Delco, 35, of 145 Odile Lane, Amelia, was arrested Tuesday at 10:55 a.m. on the charge of violation of a parish ordinance prohibiting burning trash in a residential area.
A deputy responded to a call for service regarding a fire in the Amelia area. The deputy found that Delco was burning tires in the residential area. Delco was released on a summons.
Rebecca Corbett, 41, of 2059 Levee Highway, Pierre Part, was arrested Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. on a warrant for failure to appear for a drug court status conference, and failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court.
A deputy located Corbett on the warrant at a business on Southeast Boulevard in Bayou Vista. Corbett was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $100,000.
Heidi Pellerin, 41, of 755 La. 317, Centerville, was arrested Tuesday at 4 p.m. on charges of failure to properly signal a turn, possession of Schedule II methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Narcotics detectives patrolling the Franklin area observed a vehicle fail to signal a turn onto Weber Street, and conducted a traffic stop. Detectives observed the driver, identified as Pellerin, attempting to hide something in the vehicle. Detectives retrieved a glass pipe and a bag of methamphetamine. Pellerin was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
Daniel Sonnier, 26, of 1700 Mildred St., Lot #5, Franklin, was arrested Tuesday at 5:14 p.m. on charges of possession of Schedule I marijuana, possession of Schedule II methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Ashley Adams, 34, of 1700 Mildred St., Lot 5, Franklin, was arrested Tuesday at 5:14 p.m. on charges of possession of Schedule II methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule II methamphetamine, possession of Schedule II oxycodone, possession of Schedule I marijuana, transactions involving illicit drug proceeds, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of a controlled dangerous substance law drug free zone.
St. Mary Sheriff’s Narcotics Section detectives and members of the Morgan City Police Department conducted a search warrant at Adams’ and Sonnier’s residence. Detectives located methamphetamine, marijuana, an oxycodone pill, $146 in cash, a glass pipe, plastic baggies, and other items of paraphernalia related to illegal drug activity. Detectives also found evidence that Adams was selling the methamphetamine. The residence is within 2,000 feet of a school. Adams and Sonnier were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
Trovon McDaniel, 31, of 7475 West Main St., Houma, was arrested Tuesday at 6:11 p.m. on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Narcotics detectives conducted a traffic stop just off of US 90 in Bayou Vista. Detectives identified a passenger in the vehicle as McDaniel and located the active warrant for his arrest. McDaniel was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $7,099.
Sean Stewart Jr., 20, of 503 Joey St., Patterson, was arrested Wednesday at 10:00 p.m. on charges of aggravated assault, simple battery and criminal trespass.
The Narcotics Section K-9 Unit responded to a call for service regarding a complaint of a dog running loose on Joey Street in Patterson. During the investigation, the detective found evidence that Stewart entered onto private property, confronted a male victim, made threatening remarks while holding a wooden baton, and then struck the male victim in the face with his hand. Stewart was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Stewart was released on a $5,000 bond.
Carlie Adams, 18, of 10903 La. 182, Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 7:36 a.m. on charges of careless operation and no driver’s license.
A deputy responded to a call for service about a crash on Yokely Road in the Franklin area. The deputy identified the driver as Adams. While speaking with her, the deputy learned that Adams lost control of the vehicle coming to a stop in a ditch. The deputy found that Adams was operating the vehicle without a driver’s license. Adams was released on a summons.
Vanessa Diggs, 54, of 642 8th St., Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 10:45 a.m. on a warrant for failure to register as a sex offender giving false information.
Diggs was convicted in 1994 for contributing to the delinquency of juveniles perform any sexually immoral act. A detective with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Compliance Section found that Diggs provided a false address for her registration. The detective obtained a warrant for her arrest. Diggs turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin. A deputy transported Diggs to the St. Mary parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
Lynn Lovell Jr., 45, of 607 Kirk St. C, Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 6:22 p.m. on a warrant from the Franklin Police Department on charges of attempted second degree murder and aggravated battery.
Deputies responded to a call for service regarding a trespasser at a property on Eves Street in Jeanerette. While en route, a deputy located a suspect vehicle possibly involved in the complaint, and stopped the driver. The deputy identified the driver as Lovell. The deputy knew Lovell had an active warrant for his arrest. Lovell was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
Ramon Guzman, 24, of Lake Palourde Road, Amelia, was arrested Wednesday at 11:22 p.m. on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and failure to properly signal a turn.
A deputy responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle in Amelia observed a driver fail to signal a turn and conducted a traffic stop in a residential area just off Lake Palourde Road. The deputy identified the driver as Guzman and smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. The deputy performed a standardized field sobriety test. Guzman conducted the test poorly and was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $2,750.
Yvishia Levine, 27, of 420½ Railroad St., Patterson, was arrested Wednesday at 5:02 p.m. on charges of theft, battery of a police officer, resisting an officer with force or violence, possession of Schedule I marijuana, simple escape, and a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal mischief.
A deputy investigating a report of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista located the suspect who was later identified as Levine. When the deputy detained Levine, she struck the deputy and attempted to pull away from the deputy. During the investigation, the deputy located stolen items and a marijuana cigarette in Levine’s belongings. As Levine was being escorted to the police unit, she attempted to flee on foot. The deputy and an off-duty Morgan City Police Officer then placed Levine in the unit. The deputy transported Levine to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
Brad Derouen, 27, of 1224 South Road, Bayou Vista, was arrested Wednesday at 8:17 p.m. on charges of possession of Schedule II methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule IV Xanax with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule I marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstruction of justice, violation of a controlled dangerous substance law drug free zone and a warrant for failure to appear on charges of possession of Schedule II methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jody Cubbedge Jr., 41, of 124 Uranus Road, Bayou Vista, was arrested Wednesday at 8:17 p.m. on charges of possession of Schedule II methamphetamine with intent to distribute, attempted possession of Schedule IV Xanax and violation of a of a controlled dangerous substance law drug free zone.
Brett Sanders, 27, 428 of Lagonda Road, Bayou Vista, was arrested Wednesday at 7:56 p.m. on the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office narcotics detectives and members of the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division conducted a search warrant at 1224 South Road in Bayou Vista. Detectives encountered Sanders at the door, detained him, and located a syringe in his pocket. Derouen, the suspect in the investigation, later arrived at the residence. When Derouen saw detectives, he threw a bag of marijuana, a bag of methamphetamine, and a bag containing 30 Xanax pills to the ground. Derouen then attempted to kick the illegal drugs beneath a vehicle. Derouen was detained. Detectives also detained Cubbedge who arrived at the residence during the investigation and located methamphetamine on his person. Detectives found evidence that both Derouen and Cubbedge were selling methamphetamine and that Cubbedge was at the residence to purchase Xanax from Derouen. The residence is located within 2,000 feet of a church and park, both drug free zones. Derouen and Cubbedge were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set. Sanders was released on a summons.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrests:
James Wilson, 29, of Jolivette Lane, Baldwin, was arrested Tuesday at 7:05 a.m. on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charge of driving under suspension.
Wilson was booked, processed, and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
Bernadette Williams, 49, of St. Joseph Lane, Franklin, was arrested Tuesday at 3:03 p.m. on a warrant for Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on the charge of no driver’s license and on warrants for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on charges of issuing worthless checks under $500, failure to yield, driving under suspension and switched license plate.
Williams was additionally charged with resisting an officer by false identification. Williams was booked, processed, and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
Takella Roberson, 38, of James Street, Franklin, was arrested Tuesday at 7:36 p.m. on the charge of resisting an officer.
Roberson was booked, processed, and released on a $2,500 bond.
Durall Alexander, 39, of James Street, Franklin, was arrested Tuesday at 7:40 p.m. on warrants for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on charges of issuing worthless checks, possession of Schedule IV narcotics, driving while intoxicated and no insurance.
Alexander was additionally charged on a warrant for Louisiana State Police Troop I for hit and run, improper passing, open container and operating a vehicle while under suspension. Alexander was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
Teresa Franks, 66, of Iberia Street, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 12:29 a.m. on two warrants for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charges of issuing worthless checks. Franks was booked, processed, and released on a $2,000 bond.
