A group of local residents is looking for financial support in the Morgan City and Berwick areas to hire a nonprofit organization to explore possible economic development and diversification opportunities.
Monica Mancuso, a member of a group called St. Mary Excel, spoke during Monday’s Morgan City Harbor and Terminal District meeting. She asked for the port commission’s financial support to participate in an effort to hire Urban Land Institute.
