RUTH ALLEN BROWN BERNARD

October 19, 1943 - February 2, 2018
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at 1 p.m. at the Crossing Place Fellowship in Franklin for Ruth Allen Brown Bernard, a native of Centerville and resident of Franklin who was called home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, February 2, 2018. Pastor Patrick Dopson will conduct the service. Following the service she will be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will receive relatives and friends at the church beginning at 10 a.m. Serving as pallbearers will be Enos Fangue Jr., Caleb Verret, Malachi Louviere, Joshua Verret, Cameron Stovall, and Isaiah and Noah Verret.
Ruth was a lifelong resident of Franklin who often mentioned that she loved her “Little Town” and valued its rich history. She was an avid supporter of local arts and civic groups. A strong supporter of many charity organizations, she was always available to those in need. But most importantly, she will be remembered for her deep love and service for the Lord, as well as her abundant love for her family and her local Church.
Those she leaves to cherish her memory include her four children, Veronica Fangue and her husband Enos, Mark Verret and his wife Evangeline, Becket Louviere and her husband Dirk, and Michael Verret; son-in-law, Doyle Stovall; 17 grandchildren, Rebecca and Stephanie Fangue, Elizabeth Spears and her husband Cameron, Joshua Verret and his wife Brandie, Ryan and Ansley Verret, Robert Duarte, C.J. and Ethan Clement, Nicole Benedietto, Summer Mestayer and her husband Rivers, Malachi Louviere, Caleb Verret and his wife Amanda, Cameron and Bailey Stovall, and Isaiah and Noah Verret; 11 great grandchildren; one brother, Torger Brown and his wife Carolyn; one sister, Botella Boudreaux and her husband Kenny; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Angelle Stovall; and her parents, Berwick “Bubba” Brown and Celina Champagne Brown.
