Berwick High School defeated Patterson High School 48-23 in District 8-3A girls’ varsity action Friday at Patterson. Berwick jumped out to a 14-0 lead after a quarter, led 27-9 at halftime and 41-17 after three quarters. Madison Carline led Berwick with 13 points, while Arianna Jones added 11. Other Berwick scorers were Tia Whitehead, nine; Maci Broussard, six; Madison Billiot, four; Tamera Whitehead and Sheldriana Clark, two each; and Alira Clark, one.
