Police Reports 10-2-17

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
Tracy Mears, 49, of 221 Johns Circle, Ragley, was arrested Wednesday at 8:02 a.m. on the charge of operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license.
A deputy investigating a two vehicle crash on US 90 in Amelia found that one of the drivers, Mears, had a suspended license. Mears was released on a summons.
Irvin Nolan, 36, of 515 Augustine Maze St., Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 6:40 a.m. on charges of traffic control signal violation and operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license.
A deputy patrolling La. 182 in Franklin observed a vehicle fail to stop at a traffic light. The deputy stopped the vehicle, identified the driver as Nolan, and found that he was driving with a suspended license. Nolan was released on a summons.
Soutthanou Siripannho, 37, of 518 Brooke Drive, New Iberia, was arrested Wednesday at 6:57 p.m. on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt, no motor vehicle inspection, and failure to honor written promise to appear.
A correctional deputy transported Siripannho from the Iberia Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. Siripannho was released on a $299 bond.
Ronald Armond, 45, of 248 Murial St., Bayou L’Ourse, was arrested Thursday at 2:21 a.m. on charges of resisting an officer giving false information, possession of Schedule II methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule II Xanax and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jeremy Lodrigue, 45, of 148 La. 663, Bayou L’Ourse, was arrested Thursday at 2:21 a.m. for possession of Schedule II methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of Schedule II Xanax, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Deputies responded to a call for service regarding a suspicious person and possible shoplifter at a store in Bayou Vista. During the investigation, deputies made contact with Lodrigue and Armond at a hotel in Berwick. Deputies received consent to search Lodrigue’s room and found two bags of methamphetamine, Xanax pills, a razor blade, and a digital scale. Deputies collected evidence that the illegal drugs belonged to Lodrigue and Armond. They also found that Armond had identified himself by a false name. Lodrigue and Armond were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
Bobby Davis, 36, of 102 Lacobie St., Lafayette, was arrested Tuesday at 8:47 a.m. on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of failure to yield to emergency vehicles and operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license.
A correctional deputy transported Davis from the Lafayette Parish Law Enforcement Center to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. Davis was released on a $750 bond.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrests:
Blaine Uze, 37, of Donna Drive, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 7:31 p.m. on the charge of domestic abuse aggravated assault/child endangerment and on a warrant for Terrebonne Parish for failure to appear on the charge of child support. Uze was booked, processed, and held on a $50,000 bond.
Tavoric Spain, 17, of Robert Street, Franklin, was arrested on Sept. 8, at 8:45 p.m. on a warrant for Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on the charge of disturbing the peace by obscene language. Spain was booked, processed and held on a $400 bond.
Trevon Lewis, 26, of B Street, Franklin, was arrested Friday at 12:31 a.m. on a warrant for Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on the charge of vicious dogs. Lewis was booked, processed, and released on a $250 bond.
Donald McDaniel, 18, of Percy Street, Franklin, was arrested Friday at 6:38 p.m. on the charge of carnal knowledge of a juvenile. McDaniel was booked, processed, and released on a $2,500 bond.
Marshall Bell Jr., 40, of Easy Street, Franklin, was arrested Friday at 9:16 p.m. on the charge of disturbing the peace by intoxication and for a warrant for Lafayette City Court for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension, tail lamps and opening door into moving traffic. Bell was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
Donald Williams, 33, of Calbert Street, Franklin, was arrested Monday at 10:46 p.m. on a warrant for Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office on the charge of violation of a protective order. Williams was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
Jovanta Henry, 25, of Bodin Drive, Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 10:37 a.m. on a warrant for the charge of probation violation. Henry was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
Chitimacha Police Chief Hal Hutchinson reported the following arrests:
Clifton James Lodrigue, 31, of Lucia Street, Patterson was arrested Friday on the charge of theft, and was transported to the parish jail.
Officers responded to a tribal business on July 21, in reference to a theft. While investigating the incident, officers learned that a white male had committed a theft at the business and had fled the property prior to their arrival. The white male was identified as Lodrigue and a warrant was obtained for his arrest. With the assistance of Patterson Police Department, Lodrigue was located Friday and arrested on the warrant.
Greggory Carbins, 68, of Bernice Street, Morgan City was arrested Saturday on the charge of theft, and was transported to the parish jail.
Officers responded to a tribal business Saturday in reference to a theft. While investigating the incident, officers learned that Carbins had committed a theft but was no longer at the business on their arrival. A warrant was obtained for Carbins and with the assistance of Moran City Police Department and St Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office, Carbins was located and arrested on the warrant.
Deangelo T. Sonnier, 21, of S. Magnolia Street, Lafayette, was arrested Saturday on the charge of monetary instrument abuse, and was transported to the parish jail.
Officers responded to a tribal business to investigate a counterfeit bill. During the investigation, officers learned that Sonnier had attempted to use a counterfeit bill and also had more counterfeit bills in his possession at the time of the investigation.
Jared Butler, 34, of Harrison Street, New Iberia, was arrested Sunday on charges of domestic abuse battery, resisting an officer by giving false information and public intimidation of a public official. He was transported to the parish jail.
Officers responded to a tribal business after receiving a report of a disturbance. During the investigation, Butler provided officers with a fake name when he identified himself. Officers also learned that Butler had committed a battery on a female victim. While officers were booking Butler, he made threats on their jobs.
Jeanerette Interim Police Chief Fernest Martin reported the following arrests:
Abdule Tate 23, of Cypremort Street, Jeanerette, was arrested Thursday at 7:53 p.m. on the charges of resisting an officer, driving under suspension, child safety restraints, stop sign violation and head lamps required.
Officers patrolling the area observed a vehicle with one head light. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle. The driver refused to stop and fled from the officers. The driver also ignored a stop sign in the immediate area as he fled. In stopping the vehicle, the driver was identified as Abdule Tate. During the course of the investigation it was learned that Tate driver’s license was suspended, as well as the two juvenile children within the vehicle were not secured in child restraints.
Tate was arrested and transported to the Jeanerette Police Department for processing and incarceration in the city jail.
