Josephine Cheval, 97, a native and resident of Jeanerette, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2017, at Maison Teche Nursing Home. Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Jeanerette. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery in Jeanerette. She is survived by a son, Wilmer Jospeh Jr. of New Orleans; a daughter, Gustavia Maddox of Henderson, Nevada; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
