Tropical Storm Cindy’s potential effects on the Tri-City area have prompted officials to alter the schedules of the Babe Ruth Louisiana State Softball Tournament and the District 3 AA Dixie Youth Baseball Tournament before both even have begun. The Babe Ruth state tournament, which was scheduled to begin Wednesday and run through Saturday at Kemper Williams Park near Patterson, has been shortened a day to a Thursday-Saturday event.
