St. Mary Chamber board members, awards

At a banquet Thursday night at the Bayou Bend Wellness Center, the St. Mary Chamber installed its officers for 2024 and bestowed awards on local businesses and local people.

The children’s Krewe of Nike presented King and Queen Nike LII Brandon Guagliardo and Meredith Loupe during its Mardi Gras tableau held Saturday at the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium. In keeping with the theme “Nike’s Magical Toy Box,” Guagliardo depicted GI Joe and Loupe was Barbie. He is the son of Sam and Allison Guagliardo of Morgan City. She is the daughter of Neil and Jennifer Loupe of Berwick. Members of the krewe will parade behind the Krewe of Galatea procession at 2 p.m. Feb. 11 in Morgan City.
