Patricia Drew Breaux, a Berwick native living in Morgan City, is the winner in this year's Louisiana Shrimp and Petroleum Festival poster competition. Her acrylic work combines elements from participating communities, including the Spirit of Morgan City shrimp boat, the Berwick lighthouse and an airplane representing the Weddell-Williams museum in Patterson, as well as the familiar shrimp and oil derrick themes. Breaux was joined by last year's royalty, Queen Jordan Gallegos and King Greg Hamer, as she unveiled the poster at Thursday's Bayou BBQ Bash kickoff at Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Morgan City. The BBQ Bash will be Friday and Saturday under the bridge in Morgan City.
