Discovery Channel on site

Discovery Channel began filming in St. Mary Parish Wednesday for a documentary series that will feature the local Cajun Search and Rescue group, as part of a storyline on volunteerism. The first stop was at the kennels in Garden City where the crew met their search and rescue dogs Zev and Moxie. The film crew will return for more filming in the near future. Pictured are Commander Toney Wade, his daughter Jessa, Lt. Commander Claire Weiss, and Zev and Moxie.
