Chitimacha police nab 3 on illegal narcotics warrants

Chitimacha Police Chief Hal Hutchinson reported Wednesday that during the course of a narcotics investigation, it was learned that two homes on Chitimacha Trail had illegal narcotics in them.
Search warrants were executed at both residences.
During Tuesday’s execution of the search warrants, methamphetamine, tramadol, marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located in the homes.
Dustin Broussard, 29, of Chitimacha Trail, Charenton, was arrested Tuesday on charges of possession of Schedule II methamphetamine, possession of Schedule IV tramadol and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the parish jail.
Brandy Martin, 43, of Chitimacha Trail, Charenton, was arrested Tuesday on charges of possession of Schedule II methamphetamine, possession of Schedule IV tramadol, possession of drug paraphernalia and a fugitive warrant with St Mary Parish. She was transported to the parish jail.
Kevin Hebert, 25, of Chitimacha Trail, Charenton, was arrested Tuesday on charges of unlawful distribution with intent to distribute Schedule I marijuana, unlawful distribution, and 10 counts of sale of drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the parish jail.
The investigation is ongoing and is expected to lead to further arrests in the near future.
