Morgan City Police Department and La. Hwy. Safety Commission Task Force will conduct a child safety seat checkup 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Nov. 20, at MCPD, 723 Myrtle St. front parking lot. Call 985-380-4605.

CHRISTMAS TREE
Festival and Open House at Louisiana State Museum, home of Wedell-Williams Aviation and Cypress Sawmill museums, 118 Cotten Road, near Patterson is 5:30-7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9. Free admission and refreshments. Features trees decorated by groups or schools. Best tree wins a pizza party. Top three teachers or group leaders rewarded gift certificates. Trees must be decorated by Dec. 7. To reserve a tree, call 985-399-1268.

THANKSGIVING MEAL
For senior citizens is Thursday, Nov. 18 at noon, Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, Federal Avenue, Morgan City. Drive-thru only.
