HAM RADIO
The public is invited to visit and observe the BEARS in Berwick during the International Lighthouse Lightship Weekend event. BEARS will be at the pavilion near the Everett S. Berry Lighthouse Park on the riverfront in Berwick from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20.

HAITI DRIVE
Foundation Haiti Project accepting local donations to help with earthquake relief. Donations of cleaning supplies, clothing, baby products, food and more accepted at Bayou Vista Baptist Church, Field Street, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. (closed for lunch between noon-1 p.m.) Monday-Friday, Aug. 23-27. YOUTH EVENT
The city of Patterson Outreach Department partnered with Dr. James Gilmore Jr., state professionals and local medical professionals to host a “Protect Our Youth Through Education & Vaccination Seminar” 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at Patterson Community Center, 1101 First St., Patterson. Includes free barbecue, on site vaccinations and door prizes.

ART SHOW
Artists Guild Unlimited Labor Day Weekend Art Show & Sale Patrons/Donors Reception is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31. The Artists’ Reception 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23. Public show hours Sept. 1-25 are: Wednesday-Friday, 1-4 p.m., and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
