This weekend: An entertaining murder mystery and high school hoops

Due to a last minute cut for space at deadline, the information about the Rumble in the Jungle basketball jamboree was omitted from this story in Friday's print edition, although the headline made reference to the hoops event. The information is included here.

Aquanette Davis, administrative program specialist at the Wedell-Williams Aviation and Cypress Sawmill Museum in Patterson, was looking for something new for the museum and the community.
So Davis conspired to stage a murder.
People can be part of the crime Saturday, which will be Murder Mystery Night at the museum, 118 Cotten Road.
The audience-participation performance will be something new for the museum.
“I want to put my foot in the water and see how the community reacts,” Davis said.
Davis’ co-conspirators are from The Murder Mystery of New Orleans, the masterminds behind the crime.
From the company’s website:
“Spoiler alert: someone’s gonna die. It’ll be up to you and your guests to crack the case and figure out who had the motivation to commit the crime!
“Our mysteries only ever have one correct solution, so put your thinking cap on and collect the clues you need to track down the killer. Our pre-written suspect roles are a fun way to get your group out of their comfort zone.
"A lot of our clients get really into it.”
The event begins at 5 p.m. Saturday.
Tickets are $30 and are available through Eventbrite.
