Voluntary evacuation for St. Mary issued; mandatory evacuation for south of Intracoastal

A voluntary evacuation for all of St. Mary will be in place beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, and a mandatory evacuation for areas of the parish south of the Intracoastal Waterway beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday.
The mandatory evacuation zone includes Cypremort Point and Burns Point.
Parish President David Hanagriff issued the evacuations Friday afternoon.
