UPDATED: Patterson police make six drug, gun arrests after speeding stop

Patterson police made a speeding stop Tuesday night on Catherine Street and ended up with six arrests, all of Jennings residents, on drug and gun charges, Police Chief Garrett Grogan said.

—Nylon Favors, 18, Eighth Street, Patterson, was arrested at 6:17 p.m. Tuesday on charges of resisting an of-ficer and introduction of contraband into a penal institution.
Favors remains incarcerated at the Patterson Police Department with no bond set.

—Clarence Tyrec Henry, Main Street, Jennings, was arrested at 11 p.m. Tuesday on charges of possession of a Schedule IV drug, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, illegal possession of stolen firearms, and speeding 71 mph in a 55 mph zone.

Henry remains incarcerated at the Patterson Police Department with no bond set.

—Torrey Lynn Ceasar, Allen Street, Jennings, was arrested at 11 p.m. Tuesday on charges of possession of a Schedule IV drug, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and illegal possession of stolen firearms.

Ceasar remains incarcerated at the Patterson Police Department with no bond set.

—Tregan Kenneth Citizen, Snow Drive, Jennings, was arrested at 11 p.m. Tuesday on charges of possession of a Schedule IV drug, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and illegal possession of stolen firearms.

Citizen remains incarcerated at the Patterson Police Department with no bond set.

—Traevon David Achane, McKinley Street, Jennings, was arrested at 11 p.m. Tuesday on charges of posses-sion of a Schedule IV drug, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and illegal possession of stolen firearms.
Achane remains incarcerated at the Patterson Police Department with no bond set.

—Damarien Lance Simon, Florence Street, Jennings, was arrested at 11 p.m. Tuesday on charges of possession of a Schedule IV drug, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and illegal possession of stolen firearms.

Simon remains incarcerated at the Patterson Police Department with no bond set.

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith reported these arrests:
—Devon Cardell Londo, 21, Hacker Street, New Iberia, was arrested at 4:43 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of aggravated battery and domestic abuse battery child endangerment. No bail has been set.
—Tiffany Joeline Simmons, 37, Dugas Street, St. Martinville, was arrested at 7:33 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Simmons was released on a $500 bond.
—Nickolas James Morris II, 32, Oaklawn Quarters Lane, Franklin, was arrested at 11:55 p.m. Tuesday on charges of improper lane usage, driving under suspension, no insurance and possession of marijuana.
Morris was released on a summons to appear Dec. 11.
—Haylie C. Miller, 25, Anderson Street, Franklin was arrested at 2:02 a.m. Wednesday on charges of obedience to traffic signs, possession of synthetic cannabinoids and misuse of toxic vapors. Miller was released on a summons to appear Dec. 11.
—Shawna M. Hebert, 26, Irish Bend Road, Franklin, was arrested at 2:02 a.m. Wednesday on charges possession of synthetic cannabinoids and misuse of toxic vapors. Hebert was released on a summons to appear Dec. 11.
Berwick Police Chief David Leonard reported these arrests:
—Richard D. Albritton, 33, of Fourth Street, Berwick, was arrested at 11:27 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of carless operation of a motor vehicle.
About 10:40 a.m. Tuesday, the Berwick Police Department received a call of a gas drive-off from a business on California Street. Responding officers located the vehicle on U.S. 90, where it was observed driving in a very careless manner on U.S. 90 as well as La. 182.
A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and the driver was identified as Albritton. Following the traffic stop investigation, Albritton was arrested and booked into the Berwick Jail. He was released after posting a $126cash bond.
—Dustin A. Thibodeaux, 35, Nichole Lane, Berwick, was arrested at 11:49 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of domestic abuse battery (second offense).
About 11:24 p.m. Tuesday, officers were dispatched to a residence on Nichole Lane in reference to a domestic disturbance in progress. Officers met with the victim, who stated that Thibodeaux was intoxicated and he had committed a battery on her and he also destroyed her cell phone.
Through investigation, Thibodeaux was placed under arrest and was booked into the Berwick Jail. He remains in the Berwick Jail with no bond set.
—Cody M. Rock, 28, of Vernal, Utah, was arrested at 12:21 a.m. Wednesday on charges of driving while intoxicated (first offense) and careless operation a motor vehicle with a crash.
About 11:43 p.m. Tuesday, officers were dispatched to the U.S. 90-La. 182 junction in reference to a single-vehicle crash.
Officers arrived on scene and learned that a vehicle was taking the Berwick off ramp on U.S. 90 West when it ran off the road to the left, striking a sign and a light pole.
The driver was identified as Rock and he exhibited signs of impairment. Rock performed poorly on the standardized field sobriety test. He was placed under arrest and later submitted a proper breath sample of .143g% BAC. Rock was booked into the Berwick Jail where he is currently being held on a $3,000 bond.
Morgan City Police Chief James F. Blair reported these arrests:
—Matthew Taylor Rollins, 27, Diane Lane, Patterson, was arrested at 11:16 a.m. Tuesday on charges of seat belt violation, no driver’s license and possession of drug paraphernalia.
An officer on patrol observed a traffic violation and conducted a traffic stop in the area of Second Street and Railroad Avenue.
The driver was identified as Rollins. A computer check revealed he did not have a valid driver’s license.
During the traffic stop, he was found in possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
—Adrian Billiot, 38, Franklin Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 4:51 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant for failure to appear.
Billiot was located at an address on Brashear Avenue on an active warrant held by the City Court of Morgan City. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
—Keyly Reyes-Contras, 27, Levee Road, Morgan City, was arrested at 5:54 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of no driver’s license.
Officers conducting a traffic investigation came into contact with Reyes-Contras in the area of Brashear Avenue during a traffic stop. A computer check revealed she did not have a valid driver’s license. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
—Palmer Cox IV, 55, Oregon Street, Berwick, was arrested at 7 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant for failure to appear.
Cox was turned over to the Morgan City Police Department by a bonding recovery agency on an active warrant held by the City Court of Morgan City. He was booked and incarcerated at the Morgan City Police Department.
—Alyssa Louise Ashmore, 30, River Road, Berwick, was arrested at 9:05 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of urinating or defecating in public.
Ashmore turned herself into the Morgan City Police Department on an active warrant held by the Morgan City Police Department.
—Stanley Ruffin Sr., 53, Second Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:41 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of headlamp violation and on a warrant for failure to appear.
An officer on patrol observed a traffic violation in the area of Marguerite Street and Sixth Street. A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Ruffin.
A warrant check revealed the City Court of Morgan City held an active warrant for his arrest. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reported this arrest:
— Faron Mark Lovell II, 40, Coon Road, Boutee, was arrested Sunday on charges of no driver’s license, possession of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, possession of a firearm in the presence of controlled dangerous substances, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, violating traffic control signals and possession of marijuana (first offense), and on a fugitive warrant from St. Charles Parish for simple criminal damage to property.
Deputies responded to a complaint of a vehicle operating in a reckless manner in the Bayou Corne area. Deputies observed the vehicle westbound and initiated an investigative stop. The driver, now identified Lovell, appeared to be nervous and somewhat incoherent.
During the process, deputies observed a handgun in plain view inside the suspect vehicle. A computer inquiry revealed that Lovell was a prior convicted felon and was wanted on a fugitive warrant in St. Charles Parish.
Lovell consented to a search of his vehicle. During that search, a quantity of marijuana was seized.
Lovell remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
