Two teens arrested in robbery-battery case

St. Mary deputies arrested a pair of teenagers, a boy and girl, Friday in connection with a second-degree robbery, arrest reports say.
Louisiana law defines second-degree robbery as the “taking of anything of value belonging to another from the person of another or that is in the immediate control of another when the offender intentionally inflicts serious bodily injury.”
Morgan City police also made arrests on charges of home invasion and unauthorized entry.

St. Mary
Sheriff Blaise Smith advised that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 119 complaints and made these arrests:
—Juvenile male, 17, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:40 a.m. Friday on charges of second-degree robbery and second-degree battery.
The boy was released into the custody of a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
—Juvenile female, 16, Franklin, was arrested at 11:27 a.m. Friday on charges of principal to second-degree robbery and principal to second-degree battery.
The girl was released into the custody of a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
—Andy Joseph Maise, 43, Slidell, was arrested at 1:34 p.m. Friday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on the charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to give required signal, and possession of methamphetamine. Bail has not been set.
—Aaron Lindsey Mitchell Sr., 39, Franklin, was arrested at 10:51 a.m. Friday on a warrant alleging domestic abuse battery. Mitchell was released on a $2,500 bond.
—Kayla Inez Pope, 32, Jeanerette, was arrested at 10:53 p.m. Saturday on charges of open container, violation of protective orders (three counts) and reckless operation (no accident). Bail has not been set.
—Beau Russell Bush, 34, Franklin, was arrested at 2:16 a.m. Saturday on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bush was released on a summons to appear Jan. 4.
—Derek Anthony Harrell, 34, Franklin, was arrested at 2:49 a.m. Saturday on charges of driving under suspension and improper lane usage. Harrel was also named in three warrants alleging failure to appear on the charges of criminal neglect of family; operating a vehicle while license is suspended, revoked, or canceled; speeding; and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail has not been set.
—T’Jon Hamilton, 26, Franklin, was arrested at 6:20 p.m. Saturday on charges of brake lights required, driving under suspension and possession of stolen things. Hamilton was released on a summons to appear Jan. 4.
—Gauge Joyae Nyrelle Todd, 20, Patterson, was arrested at 11:57 p.m. Saturday on charges of turning movements and signals required and possession of marijuana. Todd also was named in a warrant alleging failure to appear on the charge of resisting an officer. Bail has not been set.
—Stephanie Morgan, 36, Centerville, was arrested at 4:51 p.m. Sunday on a war-rant alleging cruelty to animals. Morgan was released on a summons to appear Jan. 4.
Morgan City
Police Chief James F. Blair reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 143 calls for service within the last 72-hour reporting period and made these arrests beginning Friday:
—Randy Lee Hatcher, 42, Avant Road, Monroe, was arrested at 11:45 a.m. Friday on charges of home invasion, criminal damage to property, and entry or remaining where forbidden.
—Randy Germone Clark, 35, Brashear Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 4:27 a.m. Sunday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and resisting an officer, and on a warrant alleging theft over $1,000 and a 6th Ward Mor-gan City Court warrant alleging 16 counts of failure to appear to pay fine May 25.
—Seantelle Marie Treto, 36, Belanger Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:58 p.m. Friday on warrants alleging possession of marijuana (first offense) and possession of methamphetamine.
—Jordan Ray Engleton, 36, Neptune Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:08 p.m. Friday on warrants alleging domestic abuse battery (strangulation), hit-and-run driving, driving under suspension, no insurance and careless operation of a motor vehicle.
—Fredrick C. Huget, 35, Second Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 5:58 a.m. Saturday on a charge of resisting an officer and on a 16th Judicial District Court warrant alleging failure to appear for arraignment April 27.
—Sarah Ann Scully, 43, Clothilde Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10 a.m. Saturday on charges of driving while intoxicated (first offense) and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
Dezzie Jane Booty Pierce, 42, Maple Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 5:34 p.m. Saturday on a 6th Ward Morgan City Court warrant alleging two counts of failure to appear to pay fine July 20.
—Christina Hornsby, 42, Willard Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 5:01 p.m. Sunday on a 16th Judicial District Court warrant alleging failure to appear for executory sentence June 15.
—Jeremie Martin Paul Jr., 31, Mallard Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 6:37 p.m. Sunday on charges of disturbing the peace, battery on an officer and resisting an officer.
Franklin
Police Chief Morris Beverly reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to 22 complaints over the weekend and made these arrests:
—Billi Velasquez, 45, Park Road, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:16 p.m. Friday on a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Velasquez was booked, processed and released on a $2,500 bond.
—Cord Jones, 34, Planta-tion Creek Drive, Missouri City, Texas, was arrested at 5:16 p.m. Friday on a charge of simple battery. Jones was booked, processed and re-leased on a $2,500 bond.
