Two arrested after multiagency investigation into solicitation of juveniles

Berwick police and St. Mary deputies made arrests Thursday for crimes against young people after an investigation by seven law enforcement agencies.

Berwick police arrested Chris Anthony Fabre, 53, Second Street, Berwick, at 8:50 p.m. Thursday on charges of indecent behavior with juveniles and computer-aided solicitation of a minor.

George Arthur Hollibaugh, 69, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:46 p.m. Thursday by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office on a charge of indecent behavior with juveniles.

Both men were arrested without incident, Berwick police and the Sheriff’s Office said.

The agencies conducted a joint operation “targeting individuals soliciting juveniles on various online platforms for sexual purposes," the Berwick Police Department said.

The Berwick and St. Mary authorities were joined in the operation by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, the Louisiana State Police Special Victim’s Unit, the Chitimacha Tribal Police, the Morgan City Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations.

Fabre remained incarcerated at the Berwick jail and Hollibaugh was at the St. Mary Law Enforcement Center as of Friday.
