Toys for Tots events, including Marine Band concert, coming soon

Sheriff Blaise Smith has arranged for Santa Claus to visit Bayou Vista on Monday to help collect Toys for Tots.
Santa will be at the parking lot of the Bayou Vista Walmart 5-8 p.m. Monday, ready to pose for pictures and talk with Tri-City area children. All Santa asks in return is the donation of a toy for less fortunate children. The Marine Corps Reserve has been collecting Toys for Tots for more than 70 years, and the local Marine Corps League detachment has been active in the program.
Next week will be a big one for Toys for Tots.
The Marine Corps Band New Orleans Toys for Tots Christmas Concert will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Morgan City Municipal Auditorium.
Admission is free, but a new, unwrapped toy is appreciated.
Saturday is the date for the Christmas Bike Ride beginning at 6 p.m. at Morey Park. Light up your bike and get your Christmas tunes ready.
Also Saturday, Christmas shoppers can browse at the Stephensville Market from 7 a.m.-noon at Stephensville Park. There will be arts and crafts items and food.
Saturday is also Christmas Movie Night at the Berwick Civic Center, Santa will be there along with the movie, food, drinks and gifts.
