Theft, battery charges among arrests Thursday

Local police reported five arrests Thursday, including charges of theft, battery, drunken driving and identity theft.
Morgan City
Police Chief Chad M. Adams reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 66 calls for service over the last 24-hour reporting period and made these arrests:
--Bayron Alexander Chavez-Funez, 31, Odile Lane, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:35 a.m. Thursday on charges of identity theft, filing false records, speeding 82 mph in a 70 mph zone, no driver’s license, unlawful use of license and switched license plate.
--Phillip J. Harris Jr., 56, Address L, Patterson, was arrested at 12:05 a.m. Thursday on a charge of battery of emergency room personnel.
--A’Dontay Rayshawn Owens, 24, Railroad Avenue, Patterson, was arrested at 12:27 a.m. Thursday on a charge of sexual battery.
--Juan Manuel Flores-Suazo, 21, South Verrett Street, Amelia, was arrested 9:22 p.m. Thursday on charges of driv-ing while intoxicated (first offense), reckless operation of a motor vehicle, speeding 85 mph in a 70 mph and no driver’s license.
Franklin
Police Chief Morris Beverly reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to nine complaints over the last 24-hour reporting period and made this arrest:
--Alita Tabb, 23, Deslignes Road, Baldwin, was arrested at 2:23 p.m. Thursday on a warrant dated Oct. 24 theft. Tabb was additionally arrested on a warrant alleging failure to appear on the charge of speeding. Tabb was booked, processed and released on a $1,838 bond.
