Six drug arrests by St. Mary Sheriff's Office

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office made six arrests on drug charges Tuesday and early Wednesday, including one of a Franklin man accused of possessing four kinds of narcotics.

St. Mary
Sheriff Blaise Smith advised that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 42 complaints and made these arrests:
—Darrel Wayne Notto, 40, Franklin, was arrested at 4:17 pm. Tuesday by the Narcotics Section on charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of synthetic cannabinoids, possession of a firearm or carrying a concealed weapon by a person convicted of a certain felony, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of THC edibles, transactions involving drug proceeds, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of hydrocodone, and illegal possession of stolen firearms.
Notto was released on a $96,500 bond.
—Drake Paul Segura, 23, Sorrell, was arrested at 10:25 a.m. Tuesday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of drug paraphernalia and improper lane usage. Bail has not been set.
 —Armond Uriaa Connor, 20, Franklin, was arrested at 10:48 p.m. Tuesday on charges of driver must be licensed, no license plate, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Bail was set at $4,250.
 —Cristian Lawrence Barard, 22, Baldwin, was arrested at 10:48 p.m. Tuesday on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to distribute Schedule II drugs, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute Schedule I drugs, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and transaction involving proceeds from drug offenses.
Bail was set at $66,500.
—Tarik Terrell Rouchon, 21, Franklin, was arrested at 10:48 p.m. Monday on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and transaction involving proceeds from drug offenses.
Bail was set at $36,500.
—Kerry Wright, 34, Jeanerette, was arrested at 12:26 a.m. Wednesday on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Wright was released on a summons to appear on July 22, 2021.
 —Kimberly Jones, 30, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:01 a.m. Wednesday on charges of open container, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia
Jones was released on a $6,250 bond.

Assumption
Sheriff Leland Falcon reported this arrest:
—Christopher Hosea Walker, 22, La. 1, Napoleonville, was arrested Monday on charges of flight from an officer (three counts), illegal possession of a stolen firearm and illegal carrying of a weapon.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a northbound vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of that vehicle.
The deputy made contact with the driver and then made contact with the passenger, now identified as Walker. The deputy inquired with the communications division concerning outstanding warrants and learned that Walker was wanted on felony and misdemeanor charges in Assumption Parish in connection with a prior incident.
Walker was arrested and during a post-arrest search, was found to be in possession of a dangerous weapon.
Walker was booked into the parish detention center with a bond set at $126,500.

Franklin
Police Chief Morris Beverly said the Police Department responded to 17 complaints over the past 24 hours and made this arrest:
 —Joaquima Brown, 26, Bayouview Drive, Franklin, was arrested at 1:54 a.m. Wednesday on the charges of home invasion, domestic abuse battery and domestic abuse battery with child endangerment. Brown was booked, processed and held with no bond set at the time of this press release.

St. Martin
Sheriff Becket Breaux reported this arrest:
—Frank Carpenter, 29, Louis Lalonde Road, Breaux Bridge, was arrested Tuesday on warrants for failure to appear.
