Sheriff's Office reports eight weekend arrests
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office reported eight arrests over the weekend, including one on a warrant alleging failure to appear to answer drug and weapon charges.

Sheriff Blaise Smith reported that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 99 complaints and made these arrests:
--Ashley Marie Adams, 38, Franklin, was arrested at 10 a.m. Friday on warrants alleging failure to appear on charges of driving under suspension, headlights required, failure to dim headlights, expired motor vehicle inspection, no insurance and no registration.
Bail was set at $746.
--Nicholas James Persilver, 36, Charenton, was arrested at 2:30 p.m. Friday on two warrants alleging failure to appear on charges of operating a vehicle while license is suspended, revoked or canceled and speeding.
Persilver was released on a $5,000 bond.
--Kyran Gerard Williams, 25, Broussard, was arrested at 3:36 p.m. Friday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on the charges of illegal use, possession or control of weapons/crime of violence and possession of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoids with intent to distribute. Bail has not been set.
--Damian Kane Keller, 38, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 5:16 p.m. Saturday on a warrant alleging parole violation. Bail has not been set.
--Amy Ponce-Mata, 44, Amelia, was arrested at 6:11 p.m. Saturday on a warrant alleging failure to appear for operating a vehicle while license is suspended, revoked or canceled, texting while driving, and operating a vehicle not covered by security. Bail was set at $250.
--Stephanie Monic Manjarrez, 28, Amelia, was arrested at 3:17 a.m. Sunday on a charge of theft. Bail has not been set.
--Tyland L. Nerve, 47, Franklin, was arrested at 8:29 a.m. Sunday on charges of maximum speed limit and resisting an officer by flight. Bail was set at $1,750.
--Carly Lynne Anderson, 21, Amelia, was arrested at 2:42 p.m. Sunday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of improper driving in the left lane of a multi-laned highway and texting while driving. Anderson was released on a $400 bond.
