Sheriff's Office reports 10 drug arrests in a day

The St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Section made 10 drug-related arrests Thursday, the office reported Monday.

Sheriff Blaise Smith advised that over the last 96-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 176 complaints and made these arrests:
--Jeralyn Carson, 29, Baldwin, was arrested at 7:08 p.m. Thursday by the Narcotics Section on a charge of possession of marijuana. Carson was released on a summons to appear July 19.
--De'andre Jackson, 21, Patterson, was arrested at 5:31 p.m. by the Narcotics Section on a charge of possession of marijuana. Jackson was released on a summons to appear July 19.
--Donja J. Moten, 22, Franklin, was arrested at 5:58 p.m. Thursday by the Narcotics Section on charges of possession of marijuana and improper lane usage. Moten was released on a summons to appear July 19.
--Joseph Loston, 57, Jeanerette, was arrested at 9:33 p.m. Thursday by the Narcotics Section on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Loston was released on a summons to appear July 19.
--Tina Berrios, 47, Charenton, was arrested at 7:28 p.m. Thursday by the Narcotics Section on charges of possession of crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting an officer by giving false information. Bail was set at $7,000.
--Dwonyell Charles, 23, Franklin, was arrested at 6:44 p.m. Thursday by the Narcotics Section on charges of possession of marijuana and window tint violation. Charles was released on a summons to appear July 19.
--Emmanuel Loston, 34, New Iberia, was arrested at 9:33 p.m. Thursday by the Narcotics Section on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of Adderall, improper lane usage possession of a firearm by a person convicted of certain felonies and possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance.:
Loston also held a warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of careless operation of a motor vehicle, operating a vehicle without a driver's license, safety helmet required, unlawful operation of an off-road vehicle and failure to honor a written promise to appear.
Loston was released on a $27,740 bond.
--Andrew Johnson, 21, Franklin, was arrested at 6:44 p.m. Thursday by the Narcotics Section on a charge of possession of marijuana. Johnson was released on a summons to appear July 19.
--Irvyon James, 19, Franklin, was arrested at 6:44 p.m. Thursday by the Narcotics Section on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. James was released on a summons to appear July 19.
--Dontay Jones, 25, Patterson, was arrested at 6:44 p.m. Thursday by the Narcotics Section on a charge of possession of MDMA and on a Lafourche Parish warrant for failure to appear. Jones is being held for another agency.
--Jerroid Jermain Garrison, 29, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 9:04 a.m. Thursday on a charge of for domestic abuse battery by strangulation/child endangerment. Bail was set at $10,000.
--Cobi Harris, 20, Gibson, was arrested at 4:24 p.m. Thursday on a charge of reckless operation (no accident). Harris was released on a summons to appear July 19.
--Crystal Williams, 39, Franklin, was arrested at 11:57 p.m. Friday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on the charge of speeding. Williams was released on a $410 bond.
--Haylie C. Miller, 26, Franklin, was arrested at 11:07 p.m. Friday on charges of possession of marijuana and proper equipment required on vehicles. Miller was released on a summons to appear July 19.
--Destiny Ann Dinger, 33, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 9:59 a.m. Friday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana. Bail was set at $780.
--Demetries Demon Green, 45, Carencro, was arrested , at 12:26 p.m. Friday on charges of traffic control signals and no insurance. Green was released on a summons to appear July 19.
--Amy Ponce Mata, 44, Amelia, was arrested at 2:13 p.m. Friday on a charge of driving under suspension. Mata was released on a summons to appear July 19.
--Zymonie Coleman, 22, Houma, was arrested at 2:32 p.m. Friday on charges of reckless operation (no accident), driver must be licensed, no insurance, possession of marijuana, no child restraint and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a person
Coleman was released on a summons to appear July 19.
--Juan Calderson Cerritos, 30, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:05 p.m. Friday on a charge of disturbing the peace (intoxicated). Cerritos was released on a summons to appear July 19.
--Trinity Nicole Harris, 23, Morgan City, was arrested on April 15, 2022, at 10:55 pm for resisting an officer by giving false information. Harris also held six Morgan City warrants alleging failure to appear on charges of driver must be licensed, contempt of court, terms of probation, probation fees, criminal damage to property, possession of marijuana and resisting an officer.
Bail has not been set.
--Fred Purnell Kenner, 35, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:17 a.m. Saturday on a charge of second-degree battery. Kenner continues to be incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
--Alaina Marie Fulks, 58, Franklin, was arrested at 1:46 a.m. Saturday on a charge of misuse of 911. Bail has not been set.
--Tajh Jeon Guilbeau, 31, Franklin, was arrested at 1:22 p.m. Saturday on a charge of driving under suspension. Guilbeau was released on a summons to appear July 19.
--William McKinley Payton Jr., 48, Franklin, was arrested at 1:22 p.m. Saturday on a charge of driving under suspension. Payton was released on a summons to appear July 19.
--Billie Jean Talbot, 46, Franklin, was arrested at 2:33 p.m. Saturday on charges of traffic control signals and driving under suspension. Talbot was released on a summons to appear July 19.
--Derick Antoine Labry, 43, Belle Rose, was arrested at 2:01 p.m. Saturday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on the charge of for driving under suspension. Labry was released on a summons to appear July 19.
--Patrick Harris Jr., 20, Broussard, was arrested at 4:07 p.m. Saturday on charges of reckless operation (no accident), expired license plate , and no driver's license on person. Harris was released on a summons to appear July 19.
--Somphone Khayankane, 40, New Iberia, was arrested at 5:28 p.m. Saturday on a charge of littering. Khayankane was released on a summons to appear July 19.
--Jack N. Piirainen III, 39, Franklin, was arrested at 7:34 p.m. Saturday on a Calcasieu Parish warrant alleging unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Piirainen is being held for another agency.
--Sherrica Lynn Theriot, 41, Patterson, was arrested at 8:33 p.m. Saturday on a charge of theft. Theriot was released on a summons to appear July 19.
--Eron Antoine Young, 33, Charenton, was arrested at 11:10 p.m. Saturday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on the charge of remaining after forbidden. Young was released on a $200 bond.
--Logan Michael Parker, 24, Franklin, was arrested at 8:46 a.m. Sunday on charges of driving under suspension, possession of marijuana, illegal possession of stolen firearms and procedure on approach of an authorized emergency vehicle.
Parker also held a warrant alleging failure to appear on the charges of possession of marijuana, operating a vehicle without a driver's license on person and improper turn and/or failure to give required signal. Parker was released on an $8,750 bond.
--Chanra Venessa Walker, 52, Jeanerette, was arrested at 9:48 p.m. Sunday on charges of no license plate light and driving under suspension. Walker was released on a summons to appear July 19.
--Brian Keith James Sr., 42, Franklin, was arrested at 2:17 a.m. Monday on two warrants alleging failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle while license is suspended, revoked, or canceled; operating a vehicle with an unlit license plate; and possession of marijuana. Bail was set at $1,268.
