Sheriff's Office makes arrest on weapon and marijuana charges

The Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Section made an arrest on weapon and marijuana charges Wednesday. Morgan City officers reported a burglary arrest.

St. Mary

Sheriff Blaise Smith reported that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 25 complaints and made these arrests:

—Timothy Delco, 43, Patterson, was arrested at 7:51 p.m. Wednesday by the Narcotics Section on charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstruction of justice (tampering), possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and illegal possession of stolen firearms.

Bail was set at $50,000.

—Ryan Arthur Westley, 55, Franklin, was arrested at 12:19 p.m.
Wednesday on a charge of theft. Bail has not been set.

Morgan City

Police Chief Chad M. Adams reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 43 calls for service over the last 24-hour reporting period and made these arrests:

—Shakettia Nichole Skinner, 31, Arizona Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:34 p.m. Tuesday on a charge of failure to appear for arraignment (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

—Donald Ray Watts Jr., 36, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:09 a.m. Wednesday on charges of simple burglary and resisting an officer.

—Michael Frederick Cross, 36, Patureau Drive, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:49 a.m. Wednesday on a charge of direct contempt of court (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

—Passion Monae Harris, 26, 11th Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 4:49 p.m. Wednesday on three counts of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

—Christopher Coleman, 37, Barrow Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:32 p.m. on three counts of failure to appear for trial (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

Patterson

Police Chief Garrett Grogan reported these arrests:

—Amber Durr, 39, Second Street, Patterson, was arrested at 9:09 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of disturbing the peace. Durr is incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with bond set at $314.

—Richard T. Falgout, 45, Second Street, Patterson, was arrested at 9:27 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of disturbing the peace. Falgout was incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with bond set at $314.

Berwick

Police Chief David S. Leonard reported this arrest:

—Latasha Jones, 40, Nichole Lane, Berwick, was arrested at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of theft by shoplifting.

About 1:30 p.m. Wednesday the Berwick Police Department received a call from a local business in reference to a theft. Officers responded and reviewed video in which a female was observed placing several items into a bag at a self-checkout counter without paying for them.

Jones was identified as a suspect. Officers made con-tact with Jones at her residence, where she admitted to taking the items. Jones was placed under arrest and released on a summons to appear in court.
