School system leadership posts announced

Newly appointed Superintendent Dr. Rachael Sanders made three appointments to her leadership team, including an assistant superintendent.
Kristina Estay was named assistant superintendent for operations, the post held by Sanders before her May 7 appointment as superintendent.
Kiante Gunner will be the system’s director of human resources, the post held by Estay before her recent appointment.
And Franklin Junior High Principal J Ina has been named supervisor of child welfare and attendance.
Estay has served in the human resources post for four years.
She entered school administration as an assistant principal at Centerville High for 10 years before she was named principal. Estay served as principal for seven years.
Gunner has been principal at Bayou Vista Elementary for the last seven years and led the school to an A grade in the state accountability system. She has 22 years of educational experience.
Ina will succeed Kenneth Holmes, who is retiring as supervisor of child welfare and attendance.
Ina has been the Franklin Junior High principal for 11 years, leading the school to Top Gains recognition in the accountability program. He also implemented the STAR Academy initiative.
He has also served as a coach for the school system.
Ina is a St. Mary Council member who was among the three finalists in the superintendent selection process.
