Schedule I drug arrest reported in Patterson

Patterson police reported a Friday arrest on a charge of possession with intent to distribute a Schedule I drug.

Patterson

Police Chief Garrett Grogan reported these arrests:

--Timothy J. Jones, 34, Gabriel Street, Patterson, was arrested at 5:05 p.m. Friday on charges of possession of marijuana (less than 14 grams), possession with intent to distribute a Schedule I drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, aggravated flight from an officer, seat belt violation, two counts of stop sign violation and general speed law.

Jones is incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with no bond set.

--Marcus S. Hatch, 48, L Street, Patterson, was arrested Friday on a failure to appear warrant and on charges of expired driver’s license and unnecessary noise/loud music.

Hatch is incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail with bond set at $772.

Assumption

Sheriff Leland Falcon reported this arrest:

--Curtis Paul Gaudet Jr., 29, Lake Palourde Road, Amelia, Friday on a fugitive warrant from the Youngsville Police Department alleging domestic abuse (child endangerment).

A uniformed patrol deputy assigned to the I.C.E. detail observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation near Cecelia Street in Bayou L’Ourse late Friday night.

The deputy initiated a stop of the vehicle at La. 662 and Cecelia Street. The deputy observed the vehicle pull into a driveway at the residence. The driver and the passenger exited the vehicle and ran to the rear side of the residence.

The deputy located the driver and passenger and ordered them back to the vehicle, at which time contact was made with the driver, identified as Nickolas James Morris II. After interviewing the driver, the deputy interviewed the passenger, identified as Gaudet Jr.

Upon completing the interviews, the deputy conducted a criminal records check on both occupants. It was determined that Gaudet was wanted on a fugitive warrant from the Youngsville Police Department. Gaudet was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center pending transfer to the Youngsville Police Department.

Franklin

Interim Police Chief Tina Thibodeaux reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to 25 complaints over the past weekend and made this arrest:

--Jordan Freeman, 21, St. Joseph Lane, Franklin, was arrested at 6:50 p.m. Saturday on a warrant for 3rd Ward City Court alleging failure to appear on the charges of resisting an officer by flight and improper display of license plate. Freeman was booked, processed , and released on a $518 bond.
