Patterson, Morgan City police make three drunk driving arrests

Patterson and Morgan City police made three arrests on drunk driving charges over the long holiday weekend, two of them in combination with drug possession charges.

Patterson

Police Chief Garrett Grogan reported these arrests:

--Joel L. Bailey, 24, Taft Street, Patterson, was arrested at 10:44 a.m. Friday on charges of driving while intoxi-cated (first offense), possession of marijuana (under 14 grams) and failure to maintain control with an accident. Bailey is incarcerated at the Patterson Jail with no bond set.

--Chet Williams, 55, Henry Street, Patterson, was arrested at 8:38 p.m. Thursday on a charge of driver’s license suspended or revoked, no proof of insurance and switched license plate.

Williams was incarcerated at the Patterson Jail with bond set at $904.

-Brent E. Hayes, 65, Williams Street, Patterson, was arrested at 9:17 p.m. Saturday on a charge of disturbing the peace (intoxicated). Hayes is incarcerated at the Patterson Jail with bond set at $459.

--Jerald Francois, 31, Guyther Street, Patterson was arrested at 1:10 p.m. Sunday on a charge of aggravated battery. Francois was incarcerated at the Patterson Jail with bond set at $5,000.

--Brian M. Racicot, 56, Shady Grove Drive, Patterson, was arrested at 1:10 p.m. Sunday on a charge of aggra-vated assault. He was incarcerated at the Patterson Jail with bond set at $5,000.

--Jennifer R. Causey, 36, Tiffany Street, Patterson, was arrested at 2:05 a.m. Monday by the Morgan City Police Department as a fugitive from the Patterson Police Department on a charge of simple battery of an officer. Cau-sey was incarcerated at the Patterson Jail with bond set at $815.

--Rigo Yudel Ramos, 40, Moon Township, Pennsylvania, was arrested at 5:36 p.m. Monday on charges of speeding 80 mph in a 55 mph zone and reckless operation of motor vehicle.

Ramos was incarcerated at the Patterson Jail with bond set at $6.91.

--Cedric P. Griffin, 40, Patterson, was arrested at 6:48 p.m. Monday on charge of possession of marijuana (un-der 14 grams).

--Sugar Ray Robertson, 56, Jeanerette, was arrested at 6:47 p.m. Monday on a charge of possession of marijuana (under 14 grams).

--Tonia Rufola-Thibodeaux, 49, Baton Rouge, was arrested at 1 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of disturbing the peace (intoxicated). Rufola-Thibodeaux was incarcerated at the Patterson Jail with bond set at $1,000.

Morgan City

Interim Police Chief Mark Griffin Jr. reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 136 calls for service over the 96-hour holiday reporting period and made these arrests:

--Jules Anthony Druilhet Jr., 48, Bodn Road, Franklin, was arrested at 9:25 p.m. Friday on charges of driving while intoxicated (first offense), reckless operation of a motor vehicle, possession of cocaine and driving under suspen-sion.

--Larry Mingo, 59, Bowman Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:58 p.m. Friday on charges of driving while intoxicated (first offense) and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.

--Nilo N. Johnson, 57, Grand Caillou Road, Houma, was arrested at 7 p.m. Friday on a charge of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Michael Francise Jr., 62, Bowie Street, White Castle, was arrested at 5:37 p.m. Sunday on a charge of disturbing the peace.

Assumption

Sheriff Leland Falcon reported this arrest:

--Lakell Mikell Honor, 19, Acre Road, Marrero, was arrested Friday on charges of resisting an officer (three counts), felony public intimidation, entering or remaining after being forbidden and disturbing the peace.

The arrested resulted from a suspicious person complaint Friday in Bayou L’Ourse.

Deputies were dispatched to a retail outlet in reference to an individual harassing customers. Upon arrival, the suspect had already left the location.

Deputies were provided a physical description of the subject and located him a short time later near La. 662 and Cecelia Street. The male subject was uncooperative and provided false information relative to his identity.

At the conclusion of the investigation, the suspect was correctly identified as Honor. Honor was arrested and transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center. Once there, Honor became continuously confrontation-al and made threats towards deputies.

Honor was released after posting a $2,000 bond on Saturday.

Franklin

Police Chief Morris Beverly reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to 23 complaints over the past holiday weekend and made these arrests:

--Nicholas Turner, 29, Easy Street, Franklin, was arrested at 6:04 p.m. Sunday on a warrant dated March 20 alleging violation of protective order. Turner was additionally arrested on a warrant for 3rd Ward City Court for failure to appear on the charge of simple criminal damage to property. Turner was booked, processed and held on a $2,500 bond.

--Trey Estelle, 30, Hospital Avenue, Franklin, was arrested at 10:15 p.m. Monday on a warrant for City Court of Morgan City for failure to appear on the charge of possession of synthetic cannabinoids. Estelle was booked, processed and held on a $1,149 bond.

St. Mary

Sheriff Blaise Smith reported that over the last 120-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 180 complaints and made these arrests:

--Loreal Miller, 34, Baldwin, was arrested , at 7:56 p.m. Thursday on a charge to failure to appear on charges of disturbing the peace (language) and simple battery. Bail has not been set.

--Jennifer Waleska, 27, Lafayette, was arrested at 7:34 a.m. Friday on a charge of unlawful possession of a fraudulent document. Bail was set at $4,000.

--Jerret Cortez, 33, Morgan City, was arrested Friday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of possession of meth, possession of marijuana, resisting an officer, failure to stop or yield at a stop sign, and no driver's license.

Bail was set at $6,600.

--Jesse Webb Jr., 35, Patterson, was arrested Friday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of possession of marijuana. Webb was released on a $1,500 bond.

--Joaquima Brown, 27, Franklin, was arrested at 4:02 p.m. Saturday on charges of violation of a protection order, following two closely, stop sign violation, no driver's license and resisting an officer by fl flight.

Bail was set at $5,750.

--Jairo J. Perez, 25, Amelia ,was arrested at 12:22 a.m. Sunday on a charge of second-degree battery. Perez was released on an $8,000 bond.

--Jeremiah T. Singleton, 20, Amelia, was arrested at 4:29 p.m. Sunday on a charge of violation of a protection order. Singleton was released on a $500 bond.

--Tonia T. Rumfola, 48, Denham Springs, was arrested at 5:12 p.m. Monday on a charge of disturbing the peace (intoxicated). Bail was set at $1,000.
