Patterson High names top honors grads

Six top honors students will lead the way at Patterson High School’s commencement at 7 p.m. Friday at the school.

The honors graduates are:

A'laiya Favors

A'laiya Lynea' Favors is the daughter of Courtney Dugar-Dorsey and Nathan Favors Sr. Alaiya was born and raised in Patterson. She has been a member of the BETA Club, the Timberland Regiment Band and Student Council and is a senior mentor. She is a part of Talented Music and Art.
In the 2023-2024 school year, she served as the executive secretary at her school and clarinet captain within the band. She has earned the title of eighth-degree Crackerjack and is ranked No. 1 in the PHS class of 2024.

She has taken 10 dual enrollment classes at PHS, giving her 30 college credits. A'laiya is currently planning to attend Northwestern State to pursue a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in biomedical.

Kaylee Bourgeois

Kaylee Bourgeois is the daughter of Brandon and Katie Bourgeois. She has been a Patterson High cheerleader all four years of her attendance. Kaylee has also been an active participant in numerous clubs such as Student Council, BETA, Key Club, Acts of Random Kindness Club, and a senior mentor.

She served as class vice president and was also the secretary of Key Club for the past two years. Throughout Kaylee's high school years, she has maintained a 4.0+ GPA. She is an eighth-degree Crackerjack. After high school, Kaylee plans to attend Nicholls State University to major in nursing.

Ella Doucet

Ella Doucet is the daughter of the late Christina and Shane Doucet. During high school, she participated in multiple sports and clubs, including cheer, volleyball, ARK Club, Senior Mentors, Key Club (serving as vice president) and Beta Club (serving as executive president).

Ella was selected as Student of the Year for PHS her senior year. She has also maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout high school and will graduate as an eighth-degree Crackerjack. After high school, Ella plans to attend Nicholls State University and pursue a major in nursing, with dreams of becoming a neonatal nurse.

Ella Dudoussat

Ella Louise Dudoussat, the daughter of Dion and Melissa Dudoussat, is a seventh-degree Crackerjack and has kept a 4.0+ GPA all four years of her attendance at Patterson High. She is an active member of Beta Club and is a senior mentor.

She participates yearly in the Nicholls Young Authors Program, where she has placed in the top honors in poetry and non-fiction, as well as participation in The St Mary Parish Art Jam. She is the only student in Patterson High to be a part of all four Gifted\Talented programs, including Gifted, Art, Music and Theater, and has been voted "Most Likely to Succeed" among her peers at Patterson High.

Outside of school, Ella is also a member of St Joseph's Catholic Church and volunteers at vacation Bible school during the summer. Ella has taken nine dual enrollment classes, earning her several hours of college credit during her time in high school, as well as acquiring her FAA drones pilot license.

She has earned a 27 on her ACT and has been awarded The Felterman Family Memorial Scholarship as well as The Nicholls Academic Honor Scholarship. Ella will attend Nicholls State University this fall, where she will major in graphic design.

Katie Leblanc

Katie Leblanc is the daughter of Katheryn Easley, Darrell Easley and Corey LeBlanc. She maintained a 4.0 GPA all four years of high school and plans to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, majoring in health science.

Katie then wants to pursue a career in radiology. She was a STUCO member for four years and a BETA club member for three years, and was on the yearbook staff.

Reece Blanchard

Reece Blanchard is the daughter of Jerome and Blaklee Blanchard. She is active in BETA, Student Council, ARK Club and Key Club and is currently Patterson High’s cheer captain.

Throughout high school, Reece has gathered multiple college credits by being enrolled in dual enrollment courses. Reece is also a seventh-degree Crackerjack and plans to attend Nicholls State University majoring in pre-dental before attending dental school to become a dental hygienist.
