Over weekend, local agencies make 10 drug arrests

(Editor’s note: The charges listed here and the narratives that go with them are provided by the police agencies that made the arrests. Guilt or innocence has not been determined in court.)

Ten people were arrested on drug charges over the long holiday weekend, including a Patterson woman booked on heroin and prescription drug counts.
Also, Assumption Parish deputies were involved in a high-speed pursuit that ended on the points of spike strips.
The driver was 13 and behind the wheel of a stolen car, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Patterson
Police Chief Garrett Grogan reported these arrests:
—Tiffanie Vice, 35, Bernard Street, was arrested at 6:37 p.m. Monday on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of heroin and possession of a prescription drug without a prescription.
—Ivory Payton, 23, Martin Luther King Boulevard, Franklin, was arrested at 1:05 p.m. Monday on a charge of simple criminal damage to property.

Morgan City
Police Chief James F. Blair reported that over the last 24-hour period, the Morgan City Police Department responded to 46 calls for service and made these arrests beginning Monday:
—Trey Anthony Lauback, 24, Rebsman Park Road, Little Rock, Arkansas, was arrested at 11:03 a.m. Monday on a charge of disturbing the peace (fighting).
—Javon Niles Jones, 19, Fifth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:15 p.m. Monday on a charge of simple battery.
—Naki Anderson, 21, North Bayou Black Drive, Gibson, was arrested at 2:54 p.m. Monday on charges of possession of marijuana and theft under $1,000.

St. Mary
Sheriff Blaise Smith advised that over the last 96-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 164 complaints and made these arrests:
—Noltavia Latrice Conner, 25, Franklin, was arrested at 4 p.m. Friday on charges of speeding, driver must be licensed, two counts of no child restraint, possession of marijuana, illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a person under 17 and resisting an officer by giving false information.
Conner was also named in a warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of criminal mischief.
No bail has been set.
—Raymon Dontrial Jones Sr., 32, Jeanerette, was arrested at 12:01 p.m. Friday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of domestic abuse battery. Bail was set at $5,000.
—Caleb Lipari, 19, Patterson, was arrested at 8:27 p.m. Friday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on a charge of resisting an officer. Lipari was also named in an Assumption Parish warrant alleging simple burglary. No bail has been set on the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office warrant, and a hold has been placed on Lipari for another agency.
—Travis Anthony Yates Sr., 39, Centerville, was arrested at 1:39 a.m. Saturday on charges of improper lane usage, driving under suspension, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A deputy was patrolling the area of U.S. 90 West when he observed a vehicle cross the center and fog lines multiple times.
The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Yates.
During the investigation, K-9 Jace was deployed and showed an odor response on the vehicle. Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were subsequently located in the vehicle. Dispatch advised the deputy that Yates’ license was suspended.
Yates was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.
—Juvenile female, 17, Franklin, was arrested at 1:13 p.m. Saturday on charges of speeding, driver must be licensed, brake lights required, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The girl was released into the custody of a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
—Kyle Bailey Bellard, 21, Bayou Vista, was arrested, at 6:53 p.m. Saturday on a charge of possession of stolen things and on an Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office warrant for failure to appear on the charges of simple burglary (five counts). Bail was set at $40,000, and a hold was placed on Bellard for another agency.
—Anthony Braxton Boudreaux, 25, Elton, was arrested at 2:22 p.m. Saturday on charges of introduction of contraband into a penal institution and simple criminal damage to property. No bail has been set for these charges, and Boudreaux continues to be incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
—Monyea Montrell Greer, 30, Harvey, was arrested at 2:22 p.m. Saturday on charges of possession with intent to distribute a Schedule I drug, introduction of contraband into a penal institution and simple criminal damage to property.
No bail has been set for these charges, and Greer continues to be incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
—Deondre Jarrell Grogan, 19, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:26 p.m. Saturday on charges of driving under suspension and maximum speed limit. Grogan was released on a summons to appear Oct. 7.
—Dontrielle Harris, 30, Franklin, was arrested at 12:10 p.m. Saturday on charges of expired license plate and no insurance. Harris was released on a summons to appear Oct. 7.
—Gerald Wayne Leblanc, 66, Rayne was arrested at 8:21 p.m. Saturday on charges of driving under suspension and traffic control signals. Leblanc was released on a summons to appear Oct. 7.
—Juvenile male, 16, Berwick, was arrested at 9:50 a.m. Sunday on a charge of domestic abuse battery. The boy was released into the custody of a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
—Jill Marie Parker, 46, Patterson, was arrested at 9:18 a.m. Sunday on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Parker also was named in two warrants alleging failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail has not been set.
—Terri Lynn Landry, 39, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 9:18 a.m. Sunday on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Landry was released on a summons to appear Oct. 7.
—Antonio Lamonte Blackburn, 48, Jean-erette, was arrested at 9:39 a.m. Sunday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on the charges of speeding and failing to honor a written promise to appear. Blackburn was released on a $365 bond.
—Jake J. Quintana, 37, Delcambre, was arrested at 10:19 a.m. Sunday on a charge of driving under suspension. Quintana was released on a summons to appear Oct. 7.
—Cynthia Marie Ogara, 36, Amelia, was arrested at 12:01 p.m. Monday on charges of speeding, driving under suspension, failure of owner to secure registration, no insurance, and switched or stolen license plate.
Ogara was released on a summons to appear Oct. 7.
—Loren Anthony Wells Sr., 46, Franklin, was arrested at 10:19 a.m. Sunday on charges of possession of marijuana and no lights in fog. Wells was released on a summons to appear Oct. 7.

Franklin
Police Chief Morris Beverly reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to 24 complaints over the holiday weekend and made these arrests:
—Christion Douglas, 19, Midway Road, Dallas, Texas, was arrested at 12:50 a.m. Saturday on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Douglas was booked, processed and released on a $3,500bond.
—Darren Darby, 25, Isabella Street, Franklin, was arrested at 6:03 p.m. Sunday on a warrant dated Sunday alleging simple battery, theft, criminal damage to property, two counts of home invasion and two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm. Darby was booked, processed and held on an $80,000.00 bond.

Assumption
Sheriff Leland Falcon reported these arrests:
—Juvenile, 13, was arrested Friday on charges of felony theft of a motor vehicle and aggravated flight from an officer and as a runaway juvenile.
The arrest was in connection with an auto theft in the Paincourtville area, followed by a high speed pursuit initiated in Iberville Parish on Friday.
Deputies responded to a Dorseyville Lane address on June 30, 2021 in connection to a runaway juvenile and a stolen auto which was eventually linked as one in the same.
Through investigation, detectives were able to track the vehicle and the suspect driver traveling in Iberville Parish on Friday.
During the process, deputies in Iberville Parish attempted to stop the vehicle. The driver engaged in a high speed pursuit situation heading toward Assumption Parish via La. 69.
Assumption Parish deputies deployed spike strips along La. 70 near the Entergy substation. The suspect’s vehicle struck the spike strip, which effectively terminated the pursuit.
The juvenile was kept in custody at a juvenile facility pending court proceedings.
—Bradley Tyler Reeves, 26, La. 16, Port Vincent, on was arrested Sunday on charges of possession of alcoholic beverages in a motor vehicle, possession of Xanax, possession of marijuana and expired motor vehicle inspection tag.
The arrest resulted from an incident Sunday in Pierre Part.
A uniformed patrol officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of the violator. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified Reeves. During the interview, the deputy noted conditions consistent with illegal drug activity.
The suspect acknowledged the presence of marijuana in the vehicle. The deputy conducted a protective pat-down search of Reeves and seized drug paraphernalia during that process.
A search of the vehicle yielded a quantity of Xanax (alprazolam).
Reeves was arrested and booked into the Parish Detention pending a bond hearing.
St. Martin
Sheriff Becket Breaux reported these arrests:
—Elton Case, 38, Antoine Lane, St. Martinville, was arrested Monday on a charge of failure to appear.
—Madelyn Matt, 33, Crystal Bay, Lafayette, was arrested Monday by the Breaux Bridge Police Department on a charge
