The winners in the Nicholls Reading Council Young Authors Contest have been announced.
The Nicholls Reading Council is a local council of the Louisiana Reading Association, an affiliate of the International Literacy Association.
Each year, the Nicholls Reading Council offers its Young Authors Contest to students in grades K-12. Entries are judged at the local council level, and first-place winners advance to state competition through the Louisiana Reading Association.
This year, the council had three state winners.
The winners shown here are from Morgan City High, Patterson High and Centerville Elementary.
Nicholls Reading Council Young Authors winners are recognized for their creativity and achievement with a commemorative trophy. These trophies are made possible through the support of MCBANK.
Susan Tregle is the Nicholls Reading Council Young Authors chair.
Mrs. Tregle is committed to honoring these aspiring authors every year.
