Narcotics, K-9 sections make drug arrests

The St. Mary Parish Narcotics Section made three drug arrests Thursday and Friday, and police dog Jace pitched in, too, according to Sheriff Blaise Smith.
—Tamika Rochelle Jackson, 45, Franklin, was arrested at 4:22 a.m. Friday by the K9 Section on charge of possession of crack cocaine and improper lane usage.
A deputy traveling on Main Street in Franklin observed a vehicle cross the fog line several times. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Jackson.
A K9 deputy arrived on the scene and during the investigation, K9 Jace was deployed to conduct an open-air sniff of the vehicle.
K9 Jace showed an odor response on the vehicle and subsequently, drugs were located. Jackson was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set.
 Smith also reported these arrests:
—Luis Cerritos, 28, Amelia, was arrested at 9:55 a.m. Thursday by the Narcotics Section on charges of red light violation, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
No bail has been set.
 —Aries Keal, 37, Charenton, was arrested at 5:29 p.m. Thursday by the Narcotics Section on a charge of possession of marijuana.
Keal was released on a summons to appear Feb. 23.
 —Spencer Bourda, 29, Siracusa, was arrested at 5:29 p.m. Thursday by the Narcotics Section on charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and transactions involving drug proceeds.
Bourda was released on a $7,500 bond.
Morgan City Police Chief James F. Blair reported these arrests:
—Seantelle Marie Treto, 35, Belanger Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:55 a.m. Thursday on a warrant for failure to appear for arraignment.
Officers located Treto on Belanger Street and placed her under arrest on outstanding warrants held by the City Court of Morgan City.
She was transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
—Patricia Savoie, 49, Elaine Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:25 a.m. Thursday on a warrant for 18 counts of failure to appear to pay fines.
Savoie was located at the Morgan City Police Department and placed under arrest on active warrants held by the City Court of Morgan City.
She was booked and incarcerated at the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
—Donnell Williams, 24, Trevino Street, Berwick, was arrested on at 4:50 p.m. Thursday on a warrant for two counts of failure to appear to pay fines.
Williams turned himself into the Morgan City Police Department on active warrants held by the City Court of Morgan City.
He was booked and incarcerated at the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reported these arrests:
—Phillip Andrew Randolph, 29, Dottie’s Lane, Franklin, was arrested Thursday on charges of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, burglary of a motor vehicle, forgery, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal trespass.
Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint on South Holly Road in Labadieville and located the vehicle and its owner, who was the subject of the complaint.
That individual was Randolph.
As the deputy arrived, he observed Randolph removing items from the vehicle.
Through investigation, deputies learned that Randolph had burglarized the residence as well as the vehicle of a friend who had asked him to watch her place while she was away.
During the investigative process, Randolph consented to a search of his vehicle. The search yielded a quantity of methamphetamine and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Deputies also recovered a check belonging to the victim that Randolph had stolen from the home and wrote to himself.
Phillip Andrew Randolph was arrested and booked pending a bond hearing.
—Chad Michael Patrone, 36, Main Street, Zachary, was returned Thursday to Assumption Parish to face charges of failure to appear and parole violation.
Patrone failed to appear in court in Assumption Parish on charges of illegal possession of stolen things, registration violation and theft.
Patrone’s status as a convicted felon resulted in a parole violator detainer being issued for him.
Patrone was arrested in East Feliciana Parish.
He was transported to Assumption Parish and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center, where bond has been set at $350 on the failure to appear charge.
There is no bond on the parole detainer.
St. Martin Parish Sheriff Becket Breaux reported these arrests:
—Jose Armenta, Jose, 35, Deviller Street, Henderson, was arrested by the Henderson Police Department on Thursday on charges of possession of Schedule II narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.
—Dawn Leblanc, 39, Pettigrove Drive, Youngsville, was arrested Thursday on an extradition warrant.
—Gorgonio Pena, 59, Devillier Street, Breaux Bridge, was arrested Thursday by the Henderson Police Department on charges of possession of Schedule II narcotics, possession of a firearm while committing or attempting a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of drug paraphernalia.
—Ashley Segura, 36, Devillier Street, Henderson, was arrested Thursday by the Henderson Police Department on charges of possession of Schedule II narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of Schedule IV narcotics.
—Katherine Eastin, 34, Old Spanish Trail, New Iberia, was arrested on charges of failure to appear.
—Sage Perez, 19, Henderson Highway, Breaux Bridge, was arrested Wednesday by the Breaux Bridge Police Department on a charge of violation of a protective order.
Franklin Police Chief Morris Beverly reported these arrests:
—Brice Jones, 25, of Joseph Street, Franklin, was arrested at 6:47 a.m. Thursday on a warrant for the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office on charges of resisting an officer, obstruction of justice, violation of uniformed controlled dangerous substance law-drug free zone, possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of clonazepam with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, second or subsequent offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jones was booked, processed, and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
—Susan Boyd, 56, Gumpoint Lane, Franklin, was arrested at 1:03 p.m. Thursday on the charge of remaining where forbidden.
Boyd was booked, processed, and released to appear in 3rd Ward City Court.
