Morgan City police make arrests on child porn, sexual battery charges

One Morgan City man faces 11 counts of pornography involving juveniles, while another was arrested Monday on warrants that include an allegation of sexual battery, arrest reports said.

Police Chief James F. Blair reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 41 calls for service within the last 24-hour reporting period and made these arrests beginning Monday:

--A'Dontay Rayshaun Owens, 23, Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:21 a.m. Monday on a charge of resisting an officer and on warrants alleging sexual battery, aggravated battery and criminal trespassing. Owens was also held for Probation and Parole.

--Jessie Paul Adams, 34 Onstead Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10 a.m. Monday on 11 counts of pornography involving juveniles (Louisiana Bureau of Investigations).

--Chasity Nicole Gros, 39, South West Road, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:56 a.m. Monday on charges of stop sign violation, driving under suspension, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of uniform controlled dangerous substance laws.

--Brett Sanders, 30, Lagonda Road, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:23 p.m. Monday on charges of driving while intoxicated (first offense), hit and run driving and careless operation of a motor vehicle.

St. Mary
Sheriff Blaise Smith advised that his office made these arrests:

--Kerry Lee Washington, 60, Patterson, was arrested at 12:14 p.m. Monday on a charge of simple burglary and a warrant alleging failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Bail has not been set.

--Lamaris Tywan Ruffin, 22, Gibson, was arrested at 5:23 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of domestic abuse (child endangerment law), possession of marijuana and interfering with emergency communication (simple assault). Bail has not been set.

--David Passmore, 27, Atlanta, was arrested at 2:48 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of possession of marijuana. Passmore was released on a summons to appear Nov. 4.

--Beau Alleman, 26, Lafayette, was arrested at 2:48 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of possession of marijuana. Alleman was released on a summons to appear Nov. 4.

--Hodges Matthews, 42, Amelia, was arrested at 4:08 p.m. Monday by the Narcotics Section on a warrant alleging distribution of methamphetamine and on a warrant alleging failure to appear on the charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and failure to give required signal. Matthews was released on a $30,000 bond.
