Morgan City police make arrest on weapon charge

Morgan City police arrested a Franklin man Wednesday on a gun charge, marking at least the fourth arrest on weapons-related charges this week by the region’s law enforcement agencies.

Morgan City
Police Chief James F. Blair reported that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Morgan City Police Department responded to 53 calls for service and made these arrests:
—Fredrick Brent Fournet, 33, Osage Street, Franklin, was arrested at 3:48 p.m. Wednesday on charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and disobeying traffic controls, and on warrants alleging failure to appear to pay a fine and a probation fee.
—Shantell Fryou, 34, Louisa Street, was arrested at 9:26 a.m. Wednesday on a warrant alleging allowing dogs to roam.
—Jerry R. Poe, 58, Fifth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:31 a.m. Wednesday on a warrant alleging terrorizing.
—Passion Monae Harris, 25, 11th Street, Morgan City, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and entry or remaining where forbidden, and on warrants alleging failure to appear for review and seven counts of fail-ure to appear to pay fine

Franklin
Police Chief Morris Beverly reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to five complaints over the past 24 hours and made these arrests:
—Arturo Latigo, 21, Canmore Springs Drive, Spring, Texas, was arrested at 9:32 a.m. Wednesday on a warrant dated Aug. 20 on charges of indecent behavior with a juvenile and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. Latigo was booked, processed and released on a $150,000 bond.
—Joseph Daniels, 25, Samuel Street, Franklin, was arrested at 4:26 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant dated Nov. 3 on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. Daniels was additionally arrested on the charge of possession of methamphetamine. Daniels was booked processed, and held on a $17,000 bond.
—Cheddrick Roberson, 49, Bigler Street, Franklin, was arrested at 4:49 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of possession of methamphetamine. Roberson was booked, processed and held on an $8,500 bond.
—Anthony Wells, 69, Antigo Alley, Franklin, was arrested at 8:27 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant dated Oct. 22 alleging theft. Wells was booked, processed and held on a $1,500 bond.

St. Mary
Sheriff Blaise Smith advisee that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 34 complaints and made these arrests:
--Kaitlyn Renea Beadle, 25, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:59 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle without proof of insurance and operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled. Beadle was released on a $250 bond.
--Leah Elizabeth Gould, 32, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 11:47 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of failing to obey stop sign and on a complaint warrant on the charge of cruelty to animals. Gould was released on a summons to appear March 17.
