Morgan City man accused in child pornography case

One Morgan City man faces 11 counts of pornography involving juveniles, while another was arrested Monday on warrants that include an allegation of sexual battery, arrest reports said.
Morgan City
Police Chief James F. Blair reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 41 calls for service within the last 24-hour reporting period and made these arrests beginning Monday:
—A’Dontay Rayshaun Owens, 23, Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:21 a.m. Monday on a charge of resisting an officer and on warrants alleging sexual battery, aggravated battery and criminal trespassing. Owens was also held for Probation and Parole.
—Jessie Paul Adams, 34 Onstead Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10 a.m. Monday on 11 counts of pornography involving juveniles (Louisiana Bureau of Investigations).
—Chasity Nicole Gros, 39, South West Road, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:56 a.m. Monday on charges of stop sign violation, driving under suspension, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of uniform controlled dangerous substance laws.
—Brett Sanders, 30, Lagonda Road, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:23 p.m. Monday on charges of driving while intoxicated (first offense), hit and run driving and careless operation of a motor vehicle.
St. Mary
Sheriff Blaise Smith advised that his office made these arrests:
—Kerry Lee Washington, 60, Patterson, was arrested at 12:14 p.m. Monday on a charge of simple burglary and a warrant alleging failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Bail has not been set.
—Lamaris Tywan Ruffin, 22, Gibson, was arrested at 5:23 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of domestic abuse (child endangerment law), possession of marijuana and interfering with emergency communication (simple assault). Bail has not been set.
—David Passmore, 27, Atlanta, was arrested at 2:48 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of possession of marijuana. Passmore was released on a summons to appear Nov. 4.
—Beau Alleman, 26, Lafayette, was arrested at 2:48 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of possession of marijuana. Alleman was released on a summons to appear Nov. 4.
—Hodges Matthews, 42, Amelia, was arrested at 4:08 p.m. Monday by the Narcotics Section on a warrant alleging distribution of methamphetamine and on a warrant alleging failure to appear on the charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and failure to give required signal. Matthews was released on a $30,000 bond.
Assumption
Sheriff Leland Falcon reported these arrests:
—Elven Marie Johnson, 41, U.S. 90 East, Des Allemonds, was arrested Friday on charges of possession of hydrocodone, possession of methamphetamine and driving on roadway laned for traffic.
A narcotics unit observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and conducted a stop of the vehicle near Paincourtville.
The occupant of the vehicle, identified as Johnson, was interviewed by agents. The interview process resulted in the seizure of hydrocodone and methamphetamine.
Johnson was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center and released on a $10,000 bond.
—Chaninthorn Jenice Cuney, 39, Henning Drive, Sulphur, was arrested Friday on charges of felony criminal damage to property, hit and run driving and driving under a suspended driver’s license.
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of Bertrand Street in Bertrandville in connection with the intentional damaging to a vehicle.
Deputies spoke to the complainant, who advised a vehicle at the scene had been spray painted inside and outside. The complainant further advised the suspect had also struck the vehicle with her vehicle. The complainant provided a description of the suspect vehicle.
The investigating deputy located the suspect vehicle, occupied by a female nearby.
Upon coming into contact with the driver, the deputy noted the occupant to be irate. The woman, identified as Cuney, was detained.
Based on the outcome of the investigation, Cuney was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center with bond set at $5,000.
—Kenneth M. Moore, Jr., 30 Telegraph Street, Napoleonville, was arrested Friday on charges of possession with intent to distribute MDMA (ecstasy), possession with intent to distribute marijuana, obstruction of justice, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding, tail lamps required, improper display of license place, resisting an officer and driving on roadway laned for traffic.
The charges arose from an attempted traffic stop on La. 70 East on Sept. 22.
An I.C.E. assigned deputy observed an eastbound vehicle on La. 70 with licensing violations and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The driver of the suspect vehicle engaged deputies in a pursuit situation. The suspect vehicle continued on and went into Donaldsonville via La. 3089.
At some point, the suspect vehicle stopped, and two suspects ran from pursuing deputies.
The passenger, now identified as Javon Ranell Clark, 25, Assumption Street, Napoleonville, was captured after a brief foot pursuit. He was arrested an eventually booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on numerous charges.
The driver evaded capture, but turned himself into the Sheriff’s Office on Friday.
The suspect, now identified as Moore, was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center with bond set at $201,000.
During the pursuit, a large amount of assorted controlled dangerous substances was thrown from the suspect vehicle.
Deputies recovered some of the drugs and seized additional illegal substances from the interior of the vehicle.
