MLK Day events scheduled for Monday

Here are two Martin Luther King Jr. Day events scheduled for Monday.
The St. Mary Chapter of the NAACP annual Dr. Martin L. King Jr. Celebration begins with a march at 2:15 p.m. leaving from Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 507 Fourth St., Morgan City, to Morning Glory Ministries, 1323 Railroad Ave., Morgan City.
A tribute will follow beginning at 3 p.m. Theme: “Marching Up to New Zion.” Refreshments will be served after the program.
The New Age Patterson Organization's celebration begins at 9 a.m. at Zion Chapel A.M.E. Church, 1511 Cherry St., Patterson. The speakers will be Paster Mitchell Williams, Pastor Richele Green, Pastor Lee Condolle and Pastor Angelika Jones.
A march and fellowship will follow.
