Meth, theft arrests reported by Morgan City police

Morgan City police made arrests on methamphetamine possession and theft charges Monday.
Morgan City
Police Chief Chad M. Adams reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 69 calls for service in the last 24-hour reporting period and made these arrests:
--Rebecca Martin, 50, Duke Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:53 p.m. Monday on charges of possession of methamphetamine and failure to appear to pay fine (two counts, 6th Ward Morgan City Court).
--Michael Martherne, 47, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:34 a.m. Monday on charges of theft ($1,000), misrepresentation during booking and resisting an officer.
--Benjamin Pittman Jr., 20, Sixth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 7:53 p.m. Monday on a charge of resisting an officer.
--Zada Wiggins, 20, Sixth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:01 p.m. Monday on charges of battery on a police officer and resisting an officer.
Franklin
Police Chief Morris Beverly reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to six complaints over the last 24-hour reporting period and made this arrest:
--Harold Dugas, 47, Jackson Street, Franklin, was arrested at 11:48 p.m. Monday on a charge of possession of a firearm by convicted felon. Dugas was additionally arrested on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court alleging failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of fami-ly. Dugas was booked, processed and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
