Mardi Gras closings; Review office will be closed Tuesday

The Morgan City Review office will be closed Tuesday, March 1, in observance of Mardi Gras. Advertising and news deadlines will be earlier than usual to accommodate the early press run for Wednesday’s paper. An item in Friday's paper incorrectly said the Review office will be closed Monday; the office will be open Monday and closed Tuesday.

Fat Tuesday will be a holiday for municipal offices in the Tri-City area and St. Mary Parish.

The Harold J. “Babe” Landry Landfill in Berwick will close at noon on Mardi Gras.

Republic Services, which serves Morgan City, will not run routes due to parades. Tuesday’s routes will be collected Friday.

Pelican Waste & Debris will run its routes as usual. Residents should consider putting trash receptacles to the street the night before because some routes may run earlier than normal.
