Maitland takes ride on 'The Polar Express'

Students at Julia B. Maitland Elementary in Morgan City are having a special day Thursday -- a "Polar Express" day. Students who have been especially well-behaved over the last few weeks are being treated to a showing of the movie in the school gym, with hot chocolate and cookies. All Maitland students were allowed to come to school Thursday in their pajamas. Faculty and staff members also had prizes as incentives for decorating the school.
