Local authorities report arrests on domestic abuse, terrorizing charges

(Editor’s note: The charges listed here and the narratives that go with them are provided by the police agencies that made the arrests. Guilt or innocence has not been determined in court.)

Area law enforcement agency reported four arrests on domestic abuse or battery of a dating partner charges over the long holiday period, and a Napoleonville man was accused of threatening to shoot a Pierre Part businessman and his employees.

Morgan City

Police Chief Chad M. Adams reported that over the extended holiday period, the Morgan City Police Department responded to 215 calls for service and made these arrests:

--Kristie Floyd, 40, La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:59 a.m. Nov. 21 on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

--Amber Fendley, 33, Crenshaw Street, Berwick, was arrested at 11:46 a.m. Nov. 21 on a charge of remaining where forbidden.

--Nolan McNabb, 19, La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested on at 11:00 a.m. Nov. 21 on charges of domestic abuse battery and false imprisonment.

--Amanda T. Crouch, 42, La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested at noon Nov. 21 on a warrant alleging failure to appear (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--John R. Anslum, 34, Redwood Street, Labadieville, was arrested at 2:38 p.m. Nov. 21 on charges of remaining where forbidden and littering.

--Randolph A. Joseph, 30, Robert Street, Franklin, was arrested at 11:35 a.m. Nov. 22 on charges of disturbing the peace (drunkenness), possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana.

--Cherri Lambert, 47, Egle Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:58 p.m. Nov. 23 on a charge of remaining where forbidden.

--Kendrick Matthews, 32, Fifth Street, Morgan City, was arrested 4:05 a.m. Nov. 23 on a warrant alleging bank fraud.

--Randy L. Hatcher, 43, Aucoin Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 4:50 a.m. Thursday on warrants alleging failure to appear for trial and failure to appear to pay fines (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Michelle G. Joseph, 30, La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:07 p.m. Thursday on charges of aggravated battery on a dating partner and battery on a dating partner (child endangerment).

--Robert P. Stansbury Jr., 39, North Third Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:37 p.m. Friday on a warrant alleging failure to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Tonya J. Conner, 40, Derrick Street, Pierre Part, was arrested at 7:24 p.m. Friday on a charge of resisting an officer (false information) and on an Assumption Parish fugitive warrant.

--Tabatha B. Leblanc, 36, First Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:17 p.m. Friday on a warrant alleging failure to appear (6th Ward Morgan City Court).

--Leonard Allen, 55, La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:36 p.m. Friday on warrants alleging battery on a dating partner (strangulation), battery on a dating partner (child endangerment) and criminal neglect of family (16th Judicial District Court).

--Christina Sargee, 43, Brashear Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:14 a.m. Saturday on a charge of theft (under $1,000) and a Patterson Police Department fugitive warrant.

---Johnathon M. Priestley, 29, Fourth Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:49 p.m. Saturday on a charge of obstructing public passage.

--Nathan Campbell, 18, La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested at 6:55 p.m. Sunday on charges of possession of marijuana (first offense) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

--Elle-Ann E. Breaux, 20, Caffery Street, Franklin, was arrested at 10:36 p.m. Sunday on a charge of possession of marijuana (first offense).

--Aaron Lipps, 31, La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested 11:44 p.m. Sunday on a charge of battery of a dating partner (strangulation).

--Derek J. Bergeron, 23, North Terrebonne Drive, Gray, was arrested at 11:57 p.m. Sunday on charges of possession of marijuana (first offense) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

St. Mary

Sheriff Blaise Smith reported that over the last 96-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 133 complaints and made these arrests:

--Jameson Jamal Jontay Austin, 21, Houma, was arrested at 9:29 a.m. Nov. 23 on a warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of illegal possession of a firearm, illegal carrying of a weapon, carrying a firearm or weapon in a firearm-free zone, and resisting an officer.

Bail was set at $30,000.

--Derrick Anthony Johnson, 41, Napoleonville, was arrested at 10:34 a.m. Nov. 23 on a warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of simple criminal damage to property, simple assault, simple battery and disturbing the peace (intoxicated).

Bail was set at $2,500.

--Gerard Leon Harris, 42, Patterson, was arrested at 3:30 a.m. Thursday on a charge of domestic abuse child endangerment law. Bail was set at $7,500.

--Aaliya Poole, 20, Morgan City, was arrested, at 2:20 a.m. Saturday on two warrants failure to appear on charges of direct contempt, speeding, failing to honor written promised to appear, simple battery and simple criminal damage to property.

Bail has not been set.

--Jordyn Ray McCoy, 21, Franklin, was arrested at 5:05 p.m. Saturday on three warrants alleging failure to appear on charges of possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; flight from an officer; unlawful operation of an off-road vehicle; illegal use, possession of control of weapons in a crime of violence; and window tint or obscuring

McCoy was transferred to another agency.

--Itzeel Perez-Malerva, 41, Morgan City, was 27, 2022, at 8:50 a.m. Sunday on charges of careless operation and driving while intoxicated. Perez-Malerva was released on a $1,340 bond.

--Tyler Paul Rogers, 28, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 10:25 p.m. Thursday by the Narcotics Section on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm, three counts of threatening a public official, and resisting a police officer with force or violence. Bail was set at $100,000.

--Joseph James, 31, Franklin, was arrested at 6:20 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant alleging possession of marijuana and possession of methamphetamine. James also held a Franklin Police Department warrant alleging failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension and stop signs/yield signs. James was released on a $2,363 bond.

Patterson

Police Chief Garrett Grogan reported this arrest:

--Bria D. Parker, Cleco Street, Patterson, was arrested at 3:38 p.m. Friday on charges of failure to appear on a charge of roadways and rotary traffic islands, no driver’s license and no insurance. Bond was set at $1,052.

Assumption

Sheriff Leland Falcon reported this arrest:

-- Hilary J. Rivere, 58, La. 402, Napoleonville, was arrested Saturday on a charge of terrorizing.

The arrested occurred after deputies investigated a complaint in Pierre Part on Saturday.

Deputies made contact with the complainant, who advised that Rivere confronted him on Saturday morning and threatened to retrieve a gun and return to kill him. The complainant, who is a local businessman, stated that Rivere further threatened to kill his employees.

At the conclusion of the investigation, deputies located Rivere and arrested him.

Rivere was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center and remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.

Franklin

Police Chief Morris Beverly responded to 17 complaints over the holiday weekend and made these arrests:

--Milton Green, 35, Willow Street, Franklin, was arrested at 8:48 p.m. Friday on charges of remaining where forbidden and possession of drug paraphernalia. Green was booked, processed and held on a $2,000 bond.

--Jumicheal Smith, 43, Sixth Street, Franklin, was arrested at 4:05 p.m. Sunday on charges of resisting an officer and violations of protective order. Smith was booked, processed and held with no bond set.

--Nicole Bonvillain, 41, 10th Street, Franklin, was arrested at 8:05 p.m. Sunday on charges of theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bonvillain was booked, processed and held on a $3,000 bond.

--Rodney Bowie, 44, Seventh St., Franklin, was arrested at 8:05 p.m. Sunday on the charges of theft and violation of a protective order. Bowie was additionally arrested on a warrant for 3rd Ward City Court alleging failure to appear on the charges of remaining where forbidden, simple criminal damage to property and battery of a dating partner. Bowie was booked, processed, and held on a $4,350.00 bond.
