At the March 5 Patterson City Council meeting, two teenagers received the Citizen’s Life Saving Award for saving a young man’s life. On Dec. 29, Caylon Davis, whom many will remember as a standout quarterback for Patterson High, was badly burned during a bonfire. His twin, Camron Davis, and Roy “BJ” Jones, a neighbor, tackled Davis and smothered the fire. Davis was later taken by AirMed to Lafayette, where he spent time in a burn unit. He is now recovering at home. His mother, Hollis Wilson, thanked the young men and said “their courageous act was immeasurable, and the award was only a small token of her appreciation.” Shown from left are Camron Davis, Caylon Davis, Wilson and Jones.
