LEAP testing available for nonpublic and home-school students
Non-public and home-school students in third grade through eighth grade are eligible to take LEAP tests in English-language arts, math, science and social studies, according to a St. Mary Parish School Board news release.
The state charges $50 per person for nonpublic school students to test. This fee is due at the time of registration.
Parents or guardians are asked to contact Robbi Gouaux, St. Mary Parish School Board accountability manager and testing coordinator, at 337-836-6035 to register students who will then be scheduled to take the tests at the school in their attendance zone.
Depending on grade level, a student may take either a paper-based test or computer-based test. Specific testing dates and times will be given upon registration.
Parents or guardians should call by March 31 in order to complete preparations for testing.
