Leading the league in school breakfasts

Norman Elementary students Friday morning at an event to celebrate Norman's participation in a school breakfast program, which is at the highest rate in the state. Joining Davenport was Gumbo, the Saints mascot,bottom photo, and Kentwood dairy farmer Stewart LeBlanc at the event made possible by Dary MAX. St. Mary Parish schools' child nutrition services have breakfast programs at 17 of 21 campuses, and M.E. Norman was the first to offer Breakfast in the Classroom.
