Leadership St. Mary environmental day

Leadership St. Mary on Tuesday launched Environmental Day with a presentation from Port of Morgan City Executive Director Raymond “Mac” Wade and Economic Development Manager Cindy Cutrera on the port. Catherine Holcomb of St. Mary Excel gave an update on the Atchafalaya National Estuarine Research Reserve and the Atchafalaya River Coast Hub master plan. Nick LeBlanc of Danos talked about restoration, and St. Mary Levee District Executive Director of Operations Mike Brocato spoke about the levee system. The day concluded with a boat tour that included the Bayou Chene Flood Control Structure.
