Lake Jammin'

Despite the heat -- or maybe because of it -- and despite the threat of rain, people flocked to the shore of Lake Palourde during the annual Lake Jam Fourth of July Celebration.
At Lake End Park, judging for the boat contest was scheduled for 4 p.m., Cliff & Sidepiece Band was to play until 5:30 p.m. followed by Shorts in December, and fireworks were to go off at 9 p.m., all weather permitting.
