Heroin possession, theft arrests reported by local authoriites

St. Mary deputies made a heroin possession arrest Monday, and Morgan City police booked a man on two theft counts.

St. Mary

Sheriff Blaise Smith reported that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 39 complaints and made these arrests:

--Kaitlyn Renea Beadle, 25, Morgan City, was arrested at 1:08 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of possession of heroin. Bail has not been set at this time.

--Jaquisha Monique Singleton, 28, Denham Springs, was arrested at 8:14 a.m. Monday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and window tint violation. Singleton was released on a $1,750 bond.

--Curt Joseph Guarisco, 55, Patterson, was arrested at 7:02 p.m. Saturday on a charge of domestic abuse battery (child endangerment). Guarisco was released on a $2,000 bond.

Morgan City

Interim Police Chief Mark E. Griffin Jr. reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 34 calls for service over the last 24-hour reporting period and made these arrests:

--Deshaun Blake Montgomery, 30, Case Lane, Lafayette, was arrested at 3:40 p.m. Monday on two counts of theft under $1,000.

--Estrella Ashley Shamah, 33, Garber Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:33 p.m. Monday as a fugitive from the Kenner Police Department.

Patterson

Police Chief Garrett Grogan reported this arrest:

--Christopher Douglas, 25, was arrested at 2:36 p.m. Monday on charges of driving under suspension, no insurance and possession of marijuana (under 14 grams). Douglas was incarcerated at the Patterson PD Jail.

Franklin

Police Chief Morris Beverly reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to eight complaints over the past 24-hour reporting period and made these arrests:

--Rocky Giroir, 19, Forest Street, Franklin, was arrested at 2:59 p.m. Monday on a warrant dated June 5 alleging theft. Giroir was booked, processed and released on a $1,500 bond.

--Lysander Williams, 53, Cedar Street, Franklin, was arrested at 11:02 p.m. Monday on a warrant for 3rd Ward City Court alleging failure to appear on the charges of stop signs and driving under suspension. Williams was booked, processed and held on a $373 bond.
