Franklin man booked on attempted murder charge

A Franklin was arrested Thursday accused of attempted murder and gang activity.

Franklin
Police Chief Morris Beverly reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to 10 complaints over the last 24-hour reporting period and made these arrests:
—Kylan Peters, 19, Ninth Street, Franklin, was arrested at 7:33 p.m. Thursday on charges of illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities, illegal carrying of weapons, criminal street gangs and two counts of attempted second-degree murder. Peters was booked, processed and held on a $270,000 bond.
—Jada Druilhet, 20, John Street, Franklin, was arrested at 10:29 a.m. Thursday on a warrant dated Oct. 27 and alleging disturbing the peace (fighting) and obstructing public passages. Druilhet was booked, processed and released on a $2,000 bond.

Morgan City
Police Chief James F. Blair reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 47 calls for service over the last 24-hour reporting period and made these arrests beginning Thursday;
—A’Monta Lee Moultrie, 18, West Park Avenue, Thibodaux, was arrested at 7 p.m. Thursday on a warrant alleging criminal damage to property ($1,000-$5,000).
—jake Christopher Naquin, 35, Hialeah Avenue, Houma, was arrested at 9:08 p.m. Thursday on a warrant alleging simple cruelty to animals.
—Michael Wade Forristal, 50, Honey Lane, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:8 p.m. Thursday on a warrant alleging theft (under $1,000).

St. Mary
Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 26 complaints and made these arrests:
—John Clifton Aucoin, 40, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:28 a.m. Friday on a charge of disturbing the peace (language). Bail was set at $500.
—Loreal Griffin Miller, 34, Baldwin, was arrested at 1:48 p.m. Thursday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on the charge of disturbing the peace (offensive works) and simple battery. Miller was released on a summons to appear June 24.
—Glenn Madison Jr., 38, Franklin, was arrested at 7:15 p.m. Thursday on charges of reckless operation (no accident) and driving under suspension. Madison was released on a summons to appear June 24.
—Barbara Ann Sigler Cox, 53, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:01 a.m. Friday on charges of possession of marijuana and improper lane usage. Cox was released on a summons to appear June 24.
