Four arrested on drug charges; two more arrests involve juvenile victims

Morgan City police and parish deputies made four drug-related arrests Monday. Morgan City also reported two arrests involving juvenile victims, and deputes made an arrest alleging aggravated assault and domestic abuse battery under child endangerment provisions.
One of the drug arrests resulted from a search of a Morgan City home, where police said they found MDMA (see related story).
Morgan City
Interim Police Chief Mark E. Griffin Jr. reported that the Morgan City Police Department responded to 62 calls for service over the last 24-hour reporting period and made these arrests:
—Seantelle Marie Treto, 37, Belanger Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:07 p.m. Monday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City Court) and failure to appear for trial (16th Judicial District Court).
—Barry Lee Jones, 35, Mallard Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:27 p.m. Monday on charges of monetary instrument abuse and possession of marijuana.
—Earline Ann Miller-Sam, 41, Poncio Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:24 p.m. Monday on charges of cruelty to animals and indecent behavior with a juvenile.
—Toby J. Clements, 52, La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested at 4:01 p.m. Monday on charges of cruelty to juveniles and aggravated assault.
—Terrell Van Bullock, 29, Degravelle Road, Amelia, was arrested at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday on two counts of failure to appear to pay fine (6th Ward Morgan City) and failure to appear for executory sentence (16th Judicial District Court).
—Lezlie Aucoin, 31, Cypress Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:51 a.m. Tuesday on charges of resisting an officer and failure to appear for arraignment (16th Judicial District Court).
St. Mary
Sheriff Blaise Smith reported that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 29 complaints and made these arrests:
—Austin Taylor Currie, 27, Palestine, was arrested at 6:32 p.m. Monday on charges of possession of Schedule IV drugs (two counts) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
—Luis Alfredo-Hernandez, 26, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:19 p.m. Monday on charges of domestic abuse child endangerment law, aggravated assault with a firearm and simple interfering with emergency communication. Bail has not been set.
Patterson
Police Chief Garrett Grogan reported this arrest:
—Mary P. Gonzalez, 28, Old Spanish Trail, New Iberia, was arrested at 6:35 p.m. Monday on charges of no driver’s license, expired license plate and no insurance. Gonzales was released on a $731 cash bond.
Franklin
Police Chief Morris Beverly reported that the Franklin Police Department responded to 13 complaints over the past 24-hour reporting period and made these arrests:
—Albert Walter, 45, of Plantation Teche Drive, Franklin, was arrested at 4:55 a.m. Monday, on a warrant dated June 9 alleging criminal trespassing, and a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court alleging failure to appear on a charge of simple burglary. Walter was additionally arrested on a charge of simple burglary. Walter was booked, processed and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
—Kristin Belanger, 35, Sterling Road, Franklin, was arrested on at 4:24 p.m. Monday on warrants for 15th Judicial District Court alleging failure to appear on the charges of burned tail light, no driver’s license and issuing worthless checks. Belanger was booked, processed and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
—Jon Ireland, 37, Antigo Alley, Franklin, was arrested at 8:57 p.m. Monday on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court alleging failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle while license is suspended and improper lane usage. Ireland was additionally arrested on the charges of resisting an officer with force (two counts), battery of a police officer (two counts) simple criminal damage to property and disturbing the peace (intoxication). Ireland was booked, processed and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
