Franklin police said they seized marijuana and a weapon while executing a search warrant Monday morning at a Pine Street home.

Four arrested after Franklin drug investigation

An investigation into drug activity in the 1700 block of Pine Street led the Franklin Police Department to four arrests Monday on marijuana and gun charges.

Franklin
Police Chief Morris Beverly said the Franklin Police Department responded to 10 complaints in the last 24-hour reporting period and made these arrests:
—Michael Gray, 46, Pine Street, Franklin, was arrested at 7:58 a.m. Monday on the charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses, illegal carrying of weapons, illegal use of controlled dangerous substance in the presence of persons under 17 and possession of drug paraphernalia. Gray was booked, processed, and released on a $30,000 bond.
—Felicia Gray, 44, Pine Street, Franklin, was arrested at 7:58 a.m. Monday on the charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses, illegal carrying of weapons, illegal use of controlled dangerous substance in the presence of persons under 17 and possession of drug paraphernalia. Gray was booked, processed and released on a $5,000 bond.
—Tylan Gray, 21, Pine Street, Franklin, was arrested at 7:58 a.m. Monday on the charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses, illegal carrying of weapons, illegal use of controlled dangerous substance in the presence of persons under 17 and possession of drug paraphernalia. Gray was booked, processed and released on a $30,000 bond.
—Jmichael Gray, 18, Pine Street, Franklin, was arrested at 7:58 a.m. Monday on the charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses, illegal carrying of weapons, illegal use of controlled dangerous substance in the presence of persons under 17 and possession of drug paraphernalia. Gray was booked, processed, and released on a $30,000 bond.

Morgan City
Police Chief James F. Blair reported that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Morgan City Police Department responded to 39 calls for service an made these ar-rests:
—Tynea Lynnsay Gray, 22, La. 943, Donaldsonville, was arrested at 5:10 p.m. Monday on a warrant alleging five counts of monetary instrument abuse and on a charge of resisting an officer by giving false information.
—Stephen Davis, 37, Mar-tin Luther King, Donaldson-ville, was arrested at 5:33 p.m. Monday as a fugitive from the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office.
—Lynette Ann Guidry, 39, Wytchwood Drive, Morgan City, was arrest at 6:32 p.m. Monday on a charge of domestic battery.

St. Mary
Sheriff Blaise Smith ad-vised that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 147 complaints and made these arrests:
—Wilbert Tyrone Guy Jr., 24, Franklin, was at at 6:15 p.m. Monday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on the charges of no seat belt and fail to honor a written promise to appear. Bail has not been set.
—James Anthony Steven-son, 32, Centerville, was arrested at 12:24 a.m. Tues-day on a warrant alleging failure to appear on the charges of no seat belt, operating a vehicle without a driver’s license and failure to honor a written promise to appear. Stevenson was released on a $345 bond.
—Neysa Marie Sauce, 53, Morgan City, was arrested at 11:06 a.m. Monday on a warrant alleging failure to appear on the charges of simple criminal damage to property and theft of less than $1,000. Sauce was re-leased on a summons to appear Feb. 3.
—Blaze Michael Charpentier, 33, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 10:32 a.m. Mon-day on a warrant alleging battery of a dating partner and disturbance. Charpentier was released on a $2,500 bond.
—Brandon Edward Keiffer, 30, Bayou Vista, , was arrested at 10:30 a.m. Monday on a charge of failure to seek assistance and on a Berwick Police Department warrant alleging possession of meth-amphetamine and possession of marijuana. Bail has not been set.

Assumption
Sheriff Leland Falcon re-ported these arrests:
—Sonia Marie Todd, 43, Shannon Street, Patterson, was arrested Monday on charges of creation or operation of a clandestine laboratory for the use or unlawful manufacture of controlled dangerous sub-stances, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding, and as a fugitive from St. Mary Parish on a charge of nonsupport.
— David M. Mire, 45, Velma Court, Bayou L’Ourse, was arrested Monday on fugitive warrants from Morgan City, Patterson and St. Mary Parish.
The arrests resulted from a traffic stop Monday on La. 661.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation and initiated a stop of the vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Todd. The deputy conducted an interview with the driver and conducted the same with the passenger, identified as Mire.
They noted both Todd and Mire to be acting nervously and during the interview. Mire provided a false name as his identification.

Due to all conditions and circumstances present at the time, the deputy concluded that additional investigation was warranted and thus summoned a K-9 to the location. The K-9 conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle and produced a positive result for the presence of controlled dangerous substances.
During the search, deputies seized items consistent with materials used in the operation of a clandestine mobile “Shake and Bake” meth lab, which was attributed to Todd.
Both Todd and Mire were arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention pending bond hearings.
