Fired up at the library
Members of the Morgan City Fire Department were scheduled to appear Tuesday at the city's Public Library for a talk and demonstration -- only there was a fire on U.S. 90. Capt. Heath Landry and Operator Dale Crouch arrived in time to improvise, parking a 1,000-gallon firetruck at nearby Lawrence Park and giving the youngsters a close-up look at to the tools of the firefighters' trade.
